The announcement of the Pots was confirmed on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, bringing clarity to how nations will be placed in their respective groups when the draw takes place in December 2025.

The three host nations that will host the competition include the USA, Mexico, and Canada were given automatic spots in Pot 1. They are joined by the top nine teams in the FIFA World Rankings, forming a stacked list of elite football powerhouses.
