CM Punk is, without a doubt, one of the greatest names in the world of professional wrestling. The former WWE champion is known for his style, charisma, and an anti-establishment persona he has created over the years.
CM Punk’s hair has evolved a lot during the course of his career. During his previous run in the WWE, Punk’s hairline was evidently receding, giving the impression that he may go bald later on in his career. But ever since his return at Survivor Series 2023, Punk’s hair has gone dense. Due to this, many fans believe that he uses a hair patch or some kind of temporary treatment for his hair.
However, that is not the case. WWE has released a video on their X account with Punk having a fresh haircut before his consequential match at Royal Rumble 2024.

Had Punk used a wig or hair extension of some sort, it would have been obvious in the video, but instead, the Second City Saint appears to have a normal cut, meaning that his hair is indeed not fake.

When CM Punk was a youngster in the WWE locker room, he had long, dense hair, in sync with the character he played as the leader of Straight Edge Society, CM Punk’s stable. However, with time, the WWE universe noticed a receding hairline and a shorter hair look of the Second City Saint until he made his exit from the company in January 2014.
However, that does not negate the fact that his hairline looks a lot better these days as compared to his younger self. The speculation is that Punk might have undergone treatment or a hair transplant to address the problem, but there is no official confirmation of that as of yet.

Many factors affect the kind of look fans see on live WWE programming. Punk’s hair looks tidier these days with a dense beard, in accordance with the veteran status he has in the company these days. But several volumizing products could also induce the changes in his hair, apart from a potential hair transplant.

Several WWE Superstars have reportedly undergone hair transplants to maintain their on-screen image and confidence, especially as they age or transition into media roles. John Cena openly admitted to getting a hair transplant after years of fan teasing, revealing it with humor during an interview in 2025.
During an interview with People Magazine, the 17-time World Champion highlighted the transformation he has undergone and the changes that his hair transplant has triggered. Unveiling his hair transplant journey, Cena shared:
They don’t do anything except move your hair, one by one, from one area to another. It’s my hair and I’m not using this stuff [on the side] and I’d like to put it up [on the top]. If somebody’s going to sweat me for that, I don’t think there’s any shame in that. It completely changed the course of my life.
Others, like Chris Jericho and Christian Cage, have sparked speculation due to visibly fuller hairlines in recent appearances, though they haven’t confirmed procedures publicly.
With speculations around CM Punk’s hair growing stronger, the question remains is when will the WWE universe have clarity around it from Punk himself?
