The head coach of Chelsea Football Club Enzo Maresca has given an update on the availability of his players ahead of the Premier League game against Liverpool.

Enzo Maresca was speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, October 3, 2025 when he spoke about the players that will be available for the game against the Premier League Champions. He comfirmed that there is no update on Cole Palmer’s injury but he will not be available for the game against Liverpool.

He said,

” For sure, I would like to have all my players available because that is a nice job for me, to decide which one is the best for that game. I am not thinking to be in Chelsea manager and everything is in place. You have to adjust and evolve. I feel good.”

He also continued,

“Cole is still out. We have Trev suspended. But we seven, eight players out for tomorrow. I don’t have any uupdatesat the moment on Cole. We have a meeting this week to see how he is and then we decide.”

Chelsea have been without a win in the Premier League for the three games against Brentford, Manchester United and Brighton) with red cards in the latter two games.

He also spoke about the red card incident against United and Brighton.

“You have to analyse case for case [discipline]. When it’s a red card for bad intention or discipline, it’s different compared to the Man United or Brighton red card. I don’t see any discipline problem even if we concede three, four red cards.”

Maresca will hope Chelsea can get back to winning ways when they host the league leaders Liverpool in the final game before the international break.
