A new Avengers: Doomsday update reveals who wasn’t involved in the reported set conflict.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is now in production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the MCU film is expected to arrive next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, will then be released in 2027.
It has recently been reported that two actors starring in Avengers: Doomsday had a disagreement on set that caused a “big rift,” according to The Hot Mic’s John Rocha.
“From what I understand, a comment was made in jest that was a bit too familiar because these actors didn’t know each other that well and crossed a line,” he said on The Kristian Harloff Show. “One of the actors got really upset about it, confronted the other actor…I’m just going to leave it at two very outspoken actors went at each other.”
Rocha said he knew which two actors were involved in the situation, but opted not to name them. He also said that, based on his understanding, the matter has since been resolved and apologies have been exchanged.
Who wasn’t involved with the Avengers: Doomsday set conflict?
Following this news, many people, including some outlets, began speculating that Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Doctor Doom’s Robert Downey Jr. were the two actors involved in the situation.
On a recent episode of The Truth, however, Rocha said this was incorrect.
“I saw people [running articles] like crazy, claiming there was a physical fight,” he said. “As I said, it was not. The other story I heard was that it was Robert Downey Jr. and Ryan Reynolds. Let me say unequivocally that it was Ryan Reynolds and it was RDJ who were involved with this. Neither side of it was RDJ or Ryan Reynolds. Neither of them. I want to say this very clearly. From what I heard, it was not those two.”
Other details are not available at this time. Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars arrives on December 17, 2027.
