On X, Jeff Sneider posted a screenshot of The Batman Part II in the latest issue of Production Weekly. The post includes information about when filming commences and who will be involved. Notably absent from the post is director Matt Reeves. While Reeves remains attached as a writer, the blurb does not mention him as the director. In fact, no filmmaker is listed as the director.

Reeves’ stepping down as director remains a rumor. Reeves is reportedly dealing with a serious personal issue, which has fueled speculation about the sequel’s delay.
Per Production Weekly, The Batman Part II’s start date is listed for March 2026 in London. Returning cast members include Robert Pattinson as Batman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon.
Producers include Dylan Clark, Geoff Johns, Michael Uslan, James Gunn, and Peter Safran. Reeves is listed as a co-writer with Mattson Tomlin.
The Batman Part II is dated for a theatrical release on October 1, 2027. If this release date remains the same, it will mark a five-year gap between The Batman and The Batman Part II.
