EVERYWHERE is a creative, open-world experience being developed by familiar faces. The development team belongs to a studio, Build A Rocket Boy, founded by Leslie Benzies, a former Grand Theft Auto producer. At its surface, the game seems to have charmed a few players into believing it to be their next escape into a world that blends adventure, discovery, creativity, and gameplay into something that ‘redefines’ how players connect in a digital realm.
The game’s teaser shows some impressive sci-fi traits mixed with creative elements from the likes of Fortnite and Minecraft. For now, the game feels like an attempt at Metaverse’s vision of a digital universe that combines multiple genres of video games we’ve known in the past. How well will EVERYWHERE weave this experience? Only time will tell.
The Community’s Mixed Response to EVERYWHERE’s Teaser
EVERYWHERE gameplay teaser
The Grand Theft Auto Community might be a little sceptical about EVERYWHERE. Based on the response to the game’s latest YouTube teaser, it’s clear that the anticipation for the next Grand Theft Auto is making its way into anything and everything related to the popular franchise. While EVERYWHERE is its own game with the ambition to be a creative canvas for the future of gamers, its roots may be inspired by Rockstar Games’ legacy that may not be easy to live up to.

Despite the subtly felt pessimism, the studio shows a strong vision of what they want EVERYWHERE to be. In the words of Leslie,
“Our intent has always been to push the boundaries of what a videogame can be while still delivering an innovative player-first experience. The team we’ve built and the partners we’ve made since our founding are coalescing around the unique vision we’re bringing to life. It’s exciting to be a part of, and we can’t wait to reveal more about Everywhere in coming months.”
When Can Players Be Part of the EVERYWHERE Experience?
EVERYWHERE world teaser
There’s a lovely little ‘easter egg’ in the teaser video that takes us back to our Grand Theft Auto days. In the teaser, you can spot two characters who are enjoying a video game that shows a car drifting around a city that looks right out of modern Grand Theft Auto games. Will it be possible to create your own games within EVERYWHERE for others to enjoy? We can’t wait to find out.
