Professional mode guide

Congrats on becoming a creator! You can use this guide to get familiar with your new tools.

Same profile, new tools

Professional mode means your main profile has special tools to help you:

Grow your audience

Build your presence without starting a new Page.

Become a creator

Anyone can follow you and see your public content on your profile or in their Feed. Your total number of followers is also visible.

Get discovered

Update your profile category in your About section so people can learn more about you.

Create top content and get paid

You can earn money on your public content that performs well. You must meet our Partner Monetization Policies.

You can check your eligibility for monetization tools and set up your payout account in professional dashboard.

Friends and followers

Followers receive updates from your profile in their Feed when your audience is set to Public. In professional mode, there’s no limit to how many followers you can have. You currently have 5,144 followers.

You also keep your friends. Friends are included in your follower count, but their names and profiles won’t appear in your follower list. You can still share privately to friends.

Insights

Learn more about your audience trends, including age and location, and quickly see your top-performing content. Insights are available for content you share while professional mode is turned on, and the post audience must always be set to Public.

When you have at least 100 followers who are not also friends, you will be able to learn more about your audience.

Ads

You can create ads in professional mode in two ways.

Boost Post

Tap Boost post next to your public content to turn posts into ads and reach more people.

New ad

Create a new ad using text, photos or videos to promote your profile. You can create ads by clicking on the button at the the top of your profile, and from the Ad Center in Professional Dashboard.

Safety and well-being

You can manage the conversation around your content with Moderation Assist.

Moderation Assist helps you automatically hide unwanted comments on your public posts based on criteria you select. For example, you can choose to hide comments from profiles without any friends or followers.

You can edit any actions that Moderation Assist takes.
