Davido In the single titled ‘Thankful’, detoured from his main Afropop terrain, delving into a character, delivering a piercing first verse and hook, enriched with praise poetry in his mother tongue.
The song’s general theme encourages approaching God with an attitude of Gratitude, which unusually genre for an artist like Davido.
However, the song was greeted with a lot reactions as social media users revealed they preferred the Davido who sings ‘worldly songs’ and not gospel songs.
