It’s a love story, and Taylor Swift has said yes. She shared the news with the world in a joint post with fiancé Travis Kelce on August 26, 2025. A carousel of five pictures accompanied the post. In the first one, Kelce can be seen down on one knee, and the third picture is a close-up shot of the engagement ring while the couple holds hands.
Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship a few months after they started dating in 2023. The couple has been each other’s biggest cheerleaders since then, and now they are all set to tie the knot. The news of their announcement came weeks after the Lover singer announced her twelfth studio album.
From football stars to musicians, many celebrities congratulated the couple. Here are the reactions of ten celebrities.
1. Jason Kelce
If there is anyone who has rooted harder for the couple than themselves, it is Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce’s brother and now Taylor Swift‘s brother-in-law. He posted a video celebrating the engagement on the New Heights podcast’s TikTok, he said:
“There is one gigantic piece of New News that just hit the waves. [Travis] is not here to address this himself, but we felt necessary as a team here at New Heights to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged! The proposal heard ‘round the world. F*ck, yeah!”
Swift was a guest on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast on August 13, where she announced her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Puth was not the only celebrity who got a shoutout on that album, but it was notable that he was name-dropped on the title track.

It’s very exciting! We gotta see the ring. Where’s the ring? Oh, that’s a pretty ring.
Witherspoon, whose The Morning Show is returning for Season 4, attended one of Swift’s The Eras concerts in Nashville, also (Marie Claire).

“I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player. I think he’s a great guy and I think that she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”
That was certainly unexpected, considering the US President has publicly expressed his dislike for Taylor Swift. The songstress is no fan of Mr. Trump either and had endorsed Kamala Harris for the election.
