Marvel Studios has reportedly unveiled new promotional art for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, an animated series debuting on Disney+. The show offers a fresh take on Peter Parker’s journey and features characters like Doctor Strange and Daredevil. Set to release in 2025, it will explore Spider-Man’s early years and connections to the Marvel Universe.
Doctor Strange gets highlighted in new Spider-Man series promo art
New promo art for the upcoming Disney+ animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, features several key Marvel characters, including Doctor Strange, Daredevil, and a range of villains.
Doctor Strange is prominently highlighted alongside Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, and two unidentified female characters, one speculated to be Screwball. The series also reveals Spider-Man’s classic red-and-blue suit, a homemade version, and a white Future Foundation-inspired “Oscorp suit.”
The series will consist of 10 episodes, following Peter Parker’s journey as he becomes Spider-Man. The narrative focuses on Peter’s early years, including his life as a high school student, his struggles with finances, and his responsibilities as a young superhero. Norman Osborn, voiced by Colman Domingo, will reportedly play a pivotal role as Peter’s mentor before eventually adopting the Green Goblin persona.
Doctor Strange’s appearance connects the series to the broader Marvel Universe. Daredevil, voiced by Charlie Cox, also makes his animated debut. Other confirmed cast members include Hudson Thames as Peter Parker, Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, and Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn.
The series, created by Jeff Trammell, focuses on Peter Parker’s early years. Marvel Studios describes it as staying true to the character’s comic book origins. The promotional material highlights a visual style reflecting classic Spider-Man stories.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man showcases Peter’s interactions with allies and adversaries, including Doctor Strange. The show is set to premiere on Disney+ in January 2025.
