The first look at the new costumes that will be featured in X-Men ’97 Season 2 has been revealed.
Marvel Television’s X-Men ’97 premiered on Disney+ in 2024. Serving as a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series, which aired during the 1990s, the show centers around popular Marvel mutant characters like Jean Grey, Scott Summers/Cyclops, Erik “Magnus” Lehnsherr/Magneto, Professor Charles Xavier, and more.
X-Men ’97 Season 2 is expected to premiere this year. A third season is already in development.
What do the X-Men ’97 Season 2 costumes look like?
New Funko Pops for X-Men ’97 Season 2 have now been unveiled, and they show the first look at some of the mutant characters’ new costumes. Notably, the Wolverine, Storm, and Jean Grey Funkos are all donning “Wasteland” costumes, while Professor X is wearing an “X-Corp” outfit.

It’s already known that X-Men ’97 will see the titular team scattered throughout time while they also have to deal with the villainous Apocalypse, as that was teased during the mid-credit scene in Season 1. What else the new season has in store for the X-Men, however, remains to be seen, as official plot details remain under wraps at this time.
Having said that, if new Funko Pops for X-Men ’97 are being unveiled, it may not be much longer before Marvel officially kicks off its marketing campaign for Season 2. That would mean that more information about the show — which is set in a different reality than the main MCU — could be right around the corner. It was also recently announced that a five-issue comic set between the events of Season 1 and Season 2 is launching this coming June.
An exact premiere date for X-Men ’97 Season 2 has not yet been announced by Marvel Studios, though it is supposed to come out at some point this summer.
