In Spider-Noir, Nicolas Cage plays Ben Reilly, aka The Spider, in 1930s New York, set in an alternate Marvel Noir universe. Cage’s new show has already won over critics, with FandomWire’s Joshua Ryan rating the series a solid 8 in our review of Spider-Noir. As the eight episodes of the show rolled out on both Prime Video and MGM+, fans now want to know about plans for a potential second season.

In the current season, fans saw Cage’s The Spider take on some big bad villains, prominently Brendan Gleeson’s Irish mob boss Silvermane. The story actually concluded what it started, so it is up to Amazon and MGM to decide whether to continue with more Ben Reilly stories in a second season.
Is Spider-Noir Season 2 Officially Announced?

With Nicolas Cage at its helm, a noir-themed setting, and an authentic black & white watch option, Prime Video nailed this Spider-Man spinoff show. Spider-Noir‘s strong debut suggests that the audience might be interested in more stories from this Marvel-Noir universe. The fedora-wearing superhero is no longer the broken hero in the eighth and final episode, which means that he might be up to more adventures on New York’s streets in the 1930s.
However, as of writing on May 27, 2026, there has been no official announcement on a second season from Prime Video or MGM+. The crew behind the show is very much interested in a second season. Christopher Miller, who is serving as an executive producer with Phil Lord, told THR that they “would be happy to do more.” Lord chimed in with his comment, “We are television producers. We’re not gonna say no.” Showrunner Oren Uziel added:
One of the magical things about any private detective story is, if you want another story, all it takes is another client to knock on that door, and then comes a new set of cases, a new set of problems and a new adventure to go one. So [it’s] conceived to be as many seasons as we want to go.
While fans are hopeful about a second season after these comments, others point to how Prime Video was quick in announcing a second season to some other shows like Off Campus and the Legally Blonde prequel, Elle. However, the budget of the show is comparatively higher, making the decision a major one for the streamer.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for the final episode of Spider-Noir
In the explosive finale of Spider-Noir, Brendan Gleeson’s Silvermane comes close to identifying who the Spider really is. There are still two out of four vials of the antidote that remain in play in the final episode. Silvermane wants the antidote, so he gets Ben to contact the Spider. At one point, he suspects Ben to be the Spider. Ben is still recharging after his last battle with Tombstone, which meant that he needs some time.
Both Flint and Dirk are ready to check out the theory when Robbie appears wearing the Spider suit. The villains snatch the antidote and inject Robbie with it, assuming that he is the Spider. A little scuffle ensues, which is enough time for Ben to regain his power and retrieve the antidote.
During the final battle, Cat shoots Silvermane dead. Ben uses his web to fling Dirk to an oncoming train, killing him. And he gives the last antidote vial to Cat, who uses it on Flint and saves him. Robbie summarizes the finale events for us with the line, “After all that, I get a newspaper to run, Morris wins, Flint gets the girl, and Janet gets a new office.” Ben, Robbie, and Janet are now running Reilly and Ruiz Investigations.
