Spread the love

According to insider Daniel Richtman (via Patreon), Marvel Studios is eyeing Get Out director Jordan Peele to direct a movie for them. Since there is no official confirmation about the same, we cannot say which movie Peele could helm for the superhero universe.

A year ago, insider Jack Sneider stated on The Hot Mic podcast that Peele had taken a meeting with Marvel about directing one of their future projects. Sneider didn’t reveal the title of the reported film either, later adding,

If I get 100 news subs by morning I’ll tell all of you what Marvel movie Peele met on tmrw night. I work for YOU, don’t you get that? I try to treat Marvel with respect but I don’t work for them. No one ALLOWS me to do anything. I have the power BACK. We stupidly gave it away…— Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider) June 4, 2024

Peele’s filmography includes social horror films that give us the creeps for days, including Him, Us, Get Out, Nope, and Candyman. He has established himself as a master of modern horror, which is why he would be perfect to expand the genre in the MCU by directing Oscar Isaac in a Moon Knight film.

The television miniseries pleasantly surprised longtime fans with its psychological-horror themes, and it would be interesting to see what Peele does with the character. Not just us, a couple of fans are also on board with the idea:

Jordan Peele could honestly fix MCU Moon Knight also hear me out on this him directing a Sentry project or a Doctor Voodoo Project pic.twitter.com/jvkj1h3qxh— Ultraman (DCU) (CHRISTMAS TIME🎄) (@Avatar_TheAsh) December 28, 2025

Knowing Peele’s directing background in horror, my first thought goes to a Moon Knight movie— Joseph DeFilippis (@JosephDeFilip19) June 4, 2024

Others are simply excited to see Peele direct a film for Marvel Studios, Moon Knight or not:

If this happens, expect a Marvel movie with brains, depth, and a fresh tone— Stranger Things (@MrkItsme94772) December 28, 2025

Marvel Studios + Jordan Peele = finally something DIFFERENT. Let him cook pic.twitter.com/DtqAzLsdZW— S R E E | ಶ್ರೀ  (@SreeDharaNEL) December 28, 2025

Marvel finally realized that being a superhero fan in 2025 is basically a psychological thriller anyway. Let him cook— Jiggy Marv (@Richestmarvels) December 28, 2025

Back in July, Kevin Feige was asked about Moon Knight’s future in the MCU (via Variety), and while he refused to be specific, he did admit that the “characters we’ve introduced post-Endgame will pop up again in some of the upcoming movies and beyond.” It sure wouldn’t hurt to bring Isaac back, preferably after pairing him with Peele.

Could Jordan Peele Direct the Rumored Midnight Sons Movie?

Credits: Marvel Comics

If you don’t know what Midnight Sons is, it’s a superhero team featured in the comics, led by characters like Blade, Doctor Strange, and others. According to rumors, a film based on this may be coming to the MCU in the future. Of course, there has been no official confirmation yet.

For the longest time, it seemed that the idea would eventually be scrapped after multiple writers had a go at coming up with a script (via The Direct). However, according to a report from October, the film seemed to be back on track with Isaac’s Moon Knight and Mahershala Ali’s Blade starring in it.

Needless to say, Midnight Sons would be the perfect addition to Peele’s filmography, and many fans appear to think so:

Please be Midnight Sons!🙏🏻— Super Talk Podcast (@SuperTalkPod) June 4, 2024

Do you think this could be the perfect movie to bring Peele into the MCU, or should he opt for something like Blade or a Ghost Rider project instead?

When Jordan Peele Weighed in on Martin Scorsese’s Marvel Debate

Previously, filmmaker Martin Scorsese unknowingly started a debate when he claimed that Marvel movies aren’t cinema. He later penned a long explanation about his words for the NY Times, stating,

“I was asked a question about Marvel movies. I answered it. I said that I’ve tried to watch a few of them and that they’re not for me, that they seem to me to be closer to theme parks than they are to movies as I’ve known and loved them throughout my life.”

To each their own, but Scorsese’s words ignited a discussion that many have become a part of, including Peele. At the Fast Company Innovation Festival in 2019, the actor/director stated, “I’m not particularly engagedin the ‘What is cinema, what isn’t cinema?’ conversation.“

He added that all that matters to him is having a great theatrical experience with the people around you (via THR):

My definition of film and what my movie experience is, is movies that you can go and have a theatrical experience, a shared experience with the audience [and] go through emotions: cheers, tears, laughs…Those are the movies I’m trying to make, quite frankly.

If that’s the criterion, then Marvel films fit in perfectly. They make us feel all sorts of emotions in a span of a few hours, and since Peele is someone who wants to make such films, the MCU could be a step in the right direction for him.

What do you think? Share your thoughts below and let us know which film you see Peele directing for Marvel in the future!
