VisionQuest, the upcoming MCU show for Disney+, recently received some intriguing updates, including its connection to Agatha All Along and its Season 2 status.
What is the VisionQuest Season 2 update?
VisionQuest is the third installment in the WandaVision trilogy, which includes WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Parenthood has played an integral role in the trilogy. While motherhood is the main theme in Agatha All Along, fatherhood will be a vital storyline in VisionQuest.
While speaking with The Direct, VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas further teased the show’s connection to Agatha All Along.
“There’s definitely connective tissue,” Matalas said. “Specifically, when it comes to—let me think about what I’m allowed to say—if you watched Agatha, you certainly know there’s a Tommy Maximoff out there somewhere. So that may or may not play into this.”
With VisionQuest as the final installment in the trilogy, does that mean it will only run for one season?
“I think that’s up to the Marvel and Disney Gods,” Matalas said when asked about VisionQuest Season 2. “It doesn’t necessarily have to [stand on its own]. There is a group of characters in situations that are certainly on their own island, if you will. Trying to figure out how to say this . . . You could very much see these characters again, if you want.”
In VisionQuest, Paul Bettany reprises his role as Vision. The ensemble includes James Spader as Ultron, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff
T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E., Jonathan Sayer as U, Faran Tahir as Raza, and James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S.
“After the events of WandaVision, White Vision struggles to connect with the memories given to him as he lacks the emotions or feelings associated with them,” the official logline reads.
VisionQuest will consist of eight episodes. It will premiere on Disney+ in late 2026.
