A new rumor regarding the upcoming Vision Quest show suggests that the MCU show will bring fans back to a familiar location.
Vision Quest is a forthcoming Disney+ and Marvel Studios miniseries that will see Paul Bettany reprise his role as Vision. Created by Terry Malalas, the show is expected to premiere at some point next year.
What is the new update on Vision Quest?
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Madripoor will be an important location in Vision Quest.
Originally created by Chris Claremont and Steve Leialoha, Madripoor made its first appearance in Marvel Comics in 1985’s The New Mutants #32. An island located in Southeast Asia, Madripoor is known for housing a large criminal underworld. The setting was explored in the 2021 show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Not much is known about the plot of Vision Quest, as official details remain under wraps, meaning this should only be treated as a rumor at this time. In addition to Bettany, James Spader is also reprising his role as Ultron in the series, while the cast further includes Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Ruaridh Mollica as Tucker, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Farah Tahir as Raza.
Vision Quest takes place after the events of WandaVision, which was released in 2021. That show, which also stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, has already had one spin-off: Agatha All Along, starring Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke, which premiered in 2024.
Bettany has played Vision since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron; although, prior to that, he has voiced Jarvis (who becomes Vision) ever since the MCU began in 2008 with Iron Man. Some of his MCU appearances also include 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, and the animated What If…? series.
Marvel Television‘s Vision Quest will premiere on Disney+ in 2026, though an exact release date has not yet been announced.
