Valorant Agent Tier List (May 2026)

Valorant’s meta has been wild so far in 2026, and with the changes to agents like Neon and Yoru, we now have a solid idea of what works and doesn’t in V26 Act 3. While the pro scene has its meta, the strongest agents in ranked right now are the ones that can get value without needing perfect team coordination.

Neon Nerf for Patch 9.11 | #VALORANT – Neon Slide count reduced from 2 -> 1– Neon slides will no longer be fully accurate, now similar to when you are crouching and moving. – Ultimate Timing is now tighter – Ultimate Cost increased to 8 Ult Points pic.twitter.com/yu2dGHtm5K— Mike | Valorant Leaks & News (@ValorLeaks) December 6, 2024

This currently includes Controllers with self-sufficient kits, Initiators that reliably open space, and Duelists who can force into a bomb site. In this tier list, we’re taking all the current agent performance data in Valorant from May 2026 to see how each agent is actually being used.

This tier list will be updated as Valorant gets future updates.

S-Tier

Clove

StatValuePick Rate34.7%Win Rate54.1%Best MapsBreeze, Lotus, Pearl, Fracture, Haven, Split, Ascent

Clove is the best character for ranked right now. Their smoke value after death, self-sustain, and revive pressure make them one of the easiest agents to turn into round-winning impact.

Sage

StatValuePick Rate18.3%Win Rate51.8%Best MapsSplit, Ascent, Lotus, Haven, Breeze, Fracture, Pearl

Sage still brings enormous value through stall, healing, and revive utility. She is especially annoying on maps where slowing a push for just a few seconds can decide the round.

Phoenix

StatValuePick Rate27.3%Win Rate51.3%Best MapsAscent, Pearl, Fracture, Haven, Lotus, Breeze, Split

Phoenix is one of the best solo-queue duelists because he can fight, heal, and reset without depending on anyone else. His kit is straightforward, but it works and it wins.

Do you think VALORANT changes the meta too often for a healthy pro scene?Teams can’t stop adjusting, and you end up seeing 10+ roster changes in a year. Sova

StatValuePick Rate30.0%Win Rate51.0%Best MapsAscent, Breeze, Haven, Pearl, Lotus, Split, Fracture

Sova is still the best info Initiator agent on the board for many maps. His recon abilities are never wasted, which is why he stays relevant even when the meta speeds up.

Killjoy

StatValuePick Rate16.0%Win Rate50.3%Best MapsHaven, Pearl, Fracture, Lotus, Ascent, Split, Breeze

Killjoy is still a great info and control Sentinel. Even when her pick rate is not the highest, her turret and lockdown make the defense side simple and punish sloppy attacks.

Fade

StatValuePick Rate20.7%Win Rate50.3%Best MapsFracture, Lotus, Pearl, Split, Haven, Breeze, Ascent

Fade is strong because she can start fights on your terms. Her info tools are still excellent for chaining into duelist entries, especially on smaller maps.

A-Tier

Brimstone

StatValuePick Rate8.3%Win Rate50.0%Best MapsFracture, Ascent, Pearl

Brimstone is simple, reliable, and still effective. He lacks the flexibility of Clove, but his smokes and post-plant utility keep him firmly playable.

Neon

StatValuePick Rate11.1%Win Rate50.0%Best MapsBreeze, Pearl, Lotus, Split, Haven, Fracture, Ascent

Even after the recent nerfs and adjustments, Neon still creates enough chaos to justify a strong tier placement. While she may not be zooming through the map, her main role as an entry fragger is still very good.

Raze

StatValuePick Rate20.1%Win Rate49.5%Best MapsSplit, Lotus, Haven, Pearl, Fracture, Ascent, Breeze

Raze is still one of the best space-makers in the game. Her explosive entry style stays valuable whenever teams need to clear corners and force quick fights.

Cypher

StatValuePick Rate15.8%Win Rate49.5%Best MapsHaven, Pearl, Ascent, Fracture, Split, Breeze, Lotus

Cypher continues to reward smart defensive setups and disciplined map control. He is especially strong when teams rely on information over brute force.

Vyse

StatValuePick Rate5.2%Win Rate49.3%Best MapsLotus, Pearl, Ascent, Haven, Fracture, Breeze, Split

Vyse is still a niche pick, but she can be disruptive in the right hands. Her value comes from forcing awkward enemy movement and punishing predictable executes.

Jett

StatValuePick Rate64.8%Win Rate49.3%Best MapsBreeze, Fracture, Ascent, Haven, Lotus, Pearl, Split

Jett remains one of the most-played agents in the game for a reason. Her pick rate is massive, and while the win rate is not S-tier, her mobility and operator value keep her highly relevant.

Skye

StatValuePick Rate16.0%Win Rate49.1%Best MapsSplit, Fracture, Lotus, Haven, Breeze, Pearl, Ascent

Skye still brings strong team utility, but she is more map-dependent than she used to be. When her flashes and scouting tools line up with the comp, she feels excellent.

B-Tier

Deadlock

StatValuePick Rate5.7%Win Rate49.1%Best MapsAscent, Lotus, Fracture, Split, Pearl, Haven, Breeze

Deadlock can be useful on defense-heavy setups, but she still needs more coordination than most ranked teams provide. Her best moments come when opponents keep walking into her utility.

Gekko

StatValuePick Rate7.0%Win Rate48.9%Best MapsPearl, Breeze, Lotus, Haven, Fracture, Split, Ascent

Gekko offers flexible utility and strong spike support, but he often depends on follow-up. In coordinated play, he looks much better than he does in messy solo queue rounds.

Viper

StatValuePick Rate5.6%Win Rate48.9%Best MapsBreeze, Lotus, Split, Fracture, Pearl, Haven, Ascent

Viper still thrives on map control and post-plant setups, but she is more demanding than the top controllers. She shines when the team knows how to play around her wall and orb timings.

Reyna

StatValuePick Rate41.9%Win Rate48.5%Best MapsBreeze, Fracture, Lotus, Split, Pearl, Haven, Ascent

Reyna stays popular because she is easy to understand and dangerous in the right hands. The catch is that she can feel selfish and inconsistent when the lobby is not full of players she can simply out-aim.

Chamber

StatValuePick Rate48.8%Win Rate48.4%Best MapsBreeze, Lotus, Fracture, Pearl, Haven, Ascent, Split

Chamber remains a strong comfort pick for players with sharp aim. His value is still tied heavily to mechanical skill, which keeps him useful but not universally reliable.

Tejo

StatValuePick Rate7.3%Win Rate48.4%Best MapsFracture, Ascent, Split, Pearl, Lotus, Breeze, Haven

Tejo still has enough utility to swing rounds, but he has cooled off from his peak. He is better when a team is built to convert his pressure into fast map control.

Veto

StatValuePick Rate2.2%Win Rate48.4%Best MapsSplit, Pearl, Ascent, Lotus, Haven, Breeze, Fracture

Veto is still searching for a stable ranked identity. The kit can be annoying to play against, but the low pick rate shows that most players are not sold yet.

Miks

StatValuePick Rate24.9%Win Rate47.7%Best MapsAscent, Breeze, Haven, Split, Lotus, Pearl, Fracture

Miks is the new face in the meta, and the high pick rate shows how much curiosity he has generated. The win rate is still settling, which makes him feel more like a work-in-progress than a solved pick.

C-Tier

Waylay

StatValuePick Rate9.2%Win Rate47.6%Best MapsPearl, Haven, Lotus, Fracture, Breeze, Split, Ascent

Waylay can be explosive when a team builds around her speed and pressure. The problem is that she asks for more coordination than most ranked games can provide.

Breach

StatValuePick Rate11.3%Win Rate47.4%Best MapsFracture, Lotus, Split, Haven, Ascent, Pearl, Breeze

Breach still has powerful crowd control, but he can be awkward in uncoordinated lobbies. His impact is real, yet it takes timing and teamwork to make it count.

Astra

StatValuePick Rate6.5%Win Rate47.3%Best MapsBreeze, Pearl, Ascent, Split, Lotus, Fracture, Haven

Astra remains a high-skill controller that asks a lot from the player. She can still be strong, but she is not nearly as forgiving as the easier smoke options.

Iso

StatValuePick Rate6.9%Win Rate47.2%Best MapsBreeze, Lotus, Haven, Pearl, Fracture, Split, Ascent

Iso can be threatening in duels, but his impact often depends on whether the player can fully capitalize on his shield windows. In ranked, that makes him more volatile than the better duelists.

Yoru

StatValuePick Rate2.8%Win Rate46.6%Best MapsLotus, Split, Breeze, Pearl, Haven, Ascent, Fracture

Yoru still has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game, but that is not the same as being easy to win with. He can absolutely take over games, though most players will not get that level of consistency.

D-Tier

Harbor

StatValuePick Rate2.9%Win Rate46.1%Best MapsBreeze, Pearl, Fracture, Lotus, Ascent, Split, Haven

Harbor’s issue is not that he is useless, but that he is usually outclassed. His wall-based utility can create space, but it rarely feels as efficient as the stronger controllers.

Omen

StatValuePick Rate22.0%Win Rate45.5%Best MapsAscent, Lotus, Haven, Split, Breeze, Pearl, Fracture

Omen is still a comfort pick for a lot of players, which is why his pick rate stays healthy. Even so, the win rate suggests that he is not converting that popularity into success in ranked. That’s because his abilities need a lot of team coordination.

KAY/O

StatValuePick Rate6.9%Win Rate45.3%Best MapsFracture, Split, Ascent, Breeze, Lotus, Haven, Pearl

KAY/O has good suppression tools on paper, but the current meta is not especially kind to him. He needs more precise team play than most ranked games are willing to give.

What is the Valorant Meta in May 2026

The Valorant meta is pretty open right now. | Image Credit: Riot Games

The biggest thing to know about the current meta is that self-sufficient agents are the best right now. Clove, Sage, Phoenix, and Sova all offer value that does not depend on the team. On top of that, their abilities are unaffected by your teammates making mistakes, and that is a huge advantage in ranked.

Initiator Cooldowns & Sentinel Buffs will be coming with Patch 13.00 in June | #VALORANT— Mike | Valorant Leaks & News (@ValorLeaks) May 7, 2026

Another clear trend is that popularity and meta are no longer the same thing. Jett and Omen are still heavily played, and even Miks has quickly become a highly picked Agent, but their win rates don’t show much success.

Overall, the meta is still adjusting from the Initiator nerfs that Riot Games previously launched, and we will see a lot more changes as they reverse some of those changes in the future. Who knows where the Valorant meta will be by the end of the year, but you can bet that we keep this tier list updated!
