Tragedy as cheating husband infects wife and son with HIV
A heart-wrenching story of betrayal and its devastating consequences has gone viral after a Nigerian woman and her son got HIV infection from her cheating husband.
The woman anonymously shared her ordeal with a relationship adviser on TikTok @_yoursafespace_e, stating how her marriage and life collapsed.
She revealed how her cheating husband infected her and one of their sons, Derrick, with HIV, leaving her shattered and filled with guilt.
In her narration, the woman disclosed that her husband had a long history of cheating since their marriage began 10 years ago. Despite numerous betrayals, she chose to stay for the sake of their children, clinging to the hope that her sacrifices would keep her family intact.
The devastating turn of events unfolded when her husband came home and handed her an envelope containing his HIV-positive test results.
The couple’s two sons, Derrick and Junior, were also at risk due to shared clippers used during haircuts. After testing, Junior’s results came back negative, but six-year-old Derrick was confirmed positive, plunging the family into despair.

“I need to vent because at this point the only thing keeping me sane are my kids. Please keep my identity anonymous. My husband has cheated on me severally ever since we got married and in the beginning I would get hurt each time he did this.
“I would cry and beg him and he would promise to stop but he never did.I even went as far as confronting and beating up one of the girls he was seeing in our third year of marriage and guess what? He popped up with a new one a week later.
“After the birth of our twins I just gave up and focused on our children allowing him do whatever he wanted. He told me he loved me but he was a man and it was impossible for him to control his urge.l accepted my fate and after hearing from other married women how their husbands cheat, l decided that it wasn’t a situation that was peculiar to me so l stopped nagging or getting angry when he came home late.
“I would perceive different female perfume on him but I would just keep mute about it. “As long as he comes home to me and the kids”, I always said to myself.”
