Top 5 Best Helldivers 2 Stratagems to Take Down Bile Titans

Bile Titans are Helldivers 2‘s way of reminding you that liberty has a price, and that price is occasionally being one-shot by an acid-spewing, bus-sized arthropod while your stratagem is on cooldown. They are enormous, aggressive, and frankly rude about the whole thing.

The good news is that High Command has issued a generous selection of tools to handle them. The less good news is that some of those tools require either perfect aim, perfect timing, or the willingness to stand dangerously close to something that wants you dead.

On that note, here are the five best stratagems vs. Bile Titans ranked, explained, and ready to save your next dive.

1. B-100 Portable Hellbomb

The nuclear option, literally. | Credits: Arrowhead Game Studios/FandomWire

The B-100 is the stratagem equivalent of bringing a sledgehammer to a knife fight, and it is glorious. Unlocked from Page 3 of the Servants of Freedom Premium Warbond for 110 Medals, it is essentially a miniaturized tactical nuclear device that you strap to your back and deliver directly to your problems.

Activate it, drop it near the Titan’s feet, and sprint (you have ten seconds). Everything within a 25-meter radius gets instantly deleted, meaning multiple Bile Titans, an entire patrol, and one slightly slow teammate can all go out together. The 300-second cooldown is steep, but when a nest decides to throw four Titans at you simultaneously, nothing else on this list covers for that quite like the B-100.

2. Orbital Railcannon Strike

This one is really as simple as it gets. Throw it anywhere near a large enemy, and the Orbital Railcannon Strike automatically locks on to the biggest target in the area and fires a single devastatingly precise shot from orbit.

Against Bile Titans specifically, it is the most reliable one-shot option that does not require you to put yourself in harm’s way. The obvious tradeoff is that it delivers exactly one high-powered shot, so if two Titans are standing side by side, it will pick one and ignore the other completely. Unlockable via Ship Management at Level 20 for 20,000 Requisition Slips.

3. EAT-411 Leveller

One shot, explosive farewell. | Credits: Arrowhead Game Studios/FandomWire

The EAT-411 Leveller is an expendable anti-tank warhead: one shot, no reload, and a cooldown of just under three minutes. Think of it as the 500kg Bomb’s slightly more portable cousin that you can carry into position yourself. Found on Page 2 of the Siege Breakers Warbond for 85 Medals.

For reliable Bile Titan kills, aim at the ground directly beneath the beast rather than trying to land a direct hit on its body and let the 2,500-point explosion damage from the blast radius do the heavy lifting. It is one of the flashiest tools on this list, and arguably the most consistent per-use value you can carry.

4. LAS-99 Quasar Cannon

Infinite ammo, infinite responsibility. | Credits: Arrowhead Game Studios/FandomWire

The Quasar Cannon is an energy-based anti-tank support weapon with effectively unlimited ammo, and it is available to unlock via the Patriotic Administration Center (Engineering Bay subsection) for 7,500 Requisition Slips at Level 18.

The catch is that it demands a bit more skill in a way most weapons on this list quietly do not. To one-shot a Bile Titan, you need a clean shot into its mouth/head weak spot; miss, and you are sitting through a punishing charge-up and cooldown cycle while the Titan walks straight through your apology. Get the shot right, though, and there is nothing more satisfying in the whole game.

5. Eagle 500kg Bomb

The community’s eternal favourite. | Credits: Arrowhead Game Studios/FandomWire

The Eagle 500kg Bomb has been the definitive Bile Titan stratagem since Helldivers 2 launched and, despite its demanding skill ceiling, nothing else quite captures the chaos and triumph of a perfectly executed drop. Available at Level 15 for 10,000 Requisition Slips via the Patriotic Administration Center (Hangar subsection).

The problem (and every Helldiver who has missed one knows the exact feeling) is that Bile Titans move surprisingly fast for something their size, and the 500kg needs the target in or very near the center of its blast radius. So, here are the two most reliable tactics to keep in mind:

Bait it into the bile-spewing animation by standing still at medium range (the Titan locks in place to spit), or,

Run counter-clockwise tight around it to trigger its stomp animation.

Both create a brief stationary window to let the 500kg Bomb work its magic. Both also require you to be uncomfortably close to a Bile Titan, which is very much the point.

Finally, here are our top picks for the best Bile Titan stratagems in Heldivers 2 at a glance, where to get them, and what they will cost you:

Got a question before you drop in? Here are a few that come up every time Bile Titans are on the menu:

What is the best non-stratagem way to deal with a Bile Titan?

The GP-20 Ultimatum secondary weapon from the Servants of Freedom Warbond can one-shot a Bile Titan with a clean hit to the mouth.

Does the Quasar Cannon one-shot a Bile Titan regardless of where you hit it?

No, the one-shot only works on the head-to-mouth weak spot. A body shot will damage it but will not drop it, and then you are waiting out that cooldown while it charges straight at you.

Can the 500kg Bomb miss a Bile Titan entirely?

Absolutely, and it will do so at the worst possible moment. The key is making the Titan stationary before you call it in. Use the bile-spit or stomp bait tactics mentioned above to guarantee the window!

Is the B-100 Portable Hellbomb worth grinding the Servants of Freedom Warbond for?

If you regularly play on higher difficulties where multiple Bile Titans spawn simultaneously, yes, without question. The 25-meter instant-kill radius is not something any other stratagem on this list can match for sheer area coverage.

Which of these is your go-to for handling Bile Titans, and which one has let you down spectacularly at the worst possible moment? Drop your answer down in the comments!
