Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter, announced a new CEO of the micro-blogging site on Friday.
Musk announced Linda Yaccarino via his Twitter account.
He said, “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!
“My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”
Yaccarino is hired to manage business operations, leaving product design and technology to Musk to manage.

She is a consummate advertising expert with long years of professional experience in numerous capacities. She has a specialty in content distribution, marketing and operations.
She is currently the head of global advertising and partnerships at NBC Universal and has worked with the firm for more than a decade, raking in revenues in billions of dollars.
Yaccarino is an alumna of Pennsylvania State University, where she studied Liberal Arts and Telecommunications.
YMU, a global talent agency built on unconventional thinking, appointed this advertising demagogue in February as the new chairman of its board.

The Italian has numerous prestigious awards and recognitions below her belt, including Business Insider’s Top 10 People Transforming Advertising and Adweek’s Ten Most Powerful Women in TV.
She is married to Claude Peter Madrazo, also of Italian origin, and they both live in New York, United States of America. She’s also reputed to be a philanthropist.
With this development, it appears Musk has acted on the outcome of an online poll where he asked people to vote on whether he should step down as Twitter CEO.
The result of the poll showed that 57.5 percent of participants voted against his stay while 42.5 percent voted in his support.
