With the release of the official poster of UFOTable’s Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, it’s been revealed that the much-awaited showdown between Doma and Shinobu is at hand. With the release date set to be on September 12, 2025, this tale will come to its conclusion.

Including this confrontation, the film will also be the first in the trilogy of the Demon Slayer anime’s Infinity Castle arc, which will also be one of the last major story arcs from the Manga the show and films were based on.
The History and Importance of Doma vs. Shinobu in Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1

To understand why the aforementioned confrontation between the Flower Hashira and the Upper Rank Two demon is so important, we have to go back in time and learn about Kanao Kocho, Shinobu’s elder sister. When she was the Flower Hashira, she had to face Doma by herself, but in doing so, she perished at his hand.
Thus, instead of a sense of duty, Shinobu’s hatred for Doma is deeply personal. When faced with this high-ranking demon in the film, it will be up to Shinobu to fulfill her role as a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. But more importantly, this will be her fight alone, and her chance to avenge her sister, proving that Kanao Kocho’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain.
Along with her tale of revenge, this fight will also explore Doma’s character, even before he became an Upper Rank Demon. Along with some absurd powers, he is charismatic, kind-looking, and disturbingly emotionless, a cult leader who kills without malice, claiming himself as their savior. This makes him one of the most chilling and powerful villains in the Demon Slayer series.
Therefore, backed by UFOTable’s extremely exotic and breathtaking visuals, their fight will be a legendary event to witness in the film.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1: All That We Know So Far
As stated earlier, this film will be a three-part series, with each telling the tales of different aspects of the Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown arc from the manga. The first part is titled Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza Returns.
Along with Shinobu vs. Doma, the other major battle will be between Zenitsu and Upper Demon Kaigaku. And as per the story so far, Tanjiro and Giyu will be battling the Upper Rank Three demon Akaza, who is the main focus of the film.
One of the most interesting bits about the film’s EN dub is that Hollywood star Channing Tatum will be in the film as well, playing the role of Keizo, Akaza’s human master and mentor before he became a demon. Akaza’s past will also be explored in vivid detail, mixed in with flashy visuals from UFOTable to put an extra flair to the story.
