A recent report has suggested that Stranger Things has picked two dates in 2025 as part of a split release strategy for Season 5.
However, fans should keep in mind that this news has not come directly from Netflix and the streaming service has yet to officially reveal a release window for the season. Currently, Netflix has only confirmed that production has wrapped on the fifth and final season of the hit show and that it will be eyeing a release date for this year.
Stranger Things Season 5 could release in two parts like Season 4
According to the latest report by What’s on Netflix, Stranger Things Season 5 might have two release dates, as Netflix may split the release of the final season into two.
The outlet stated that the final season of Stranger Things may be available for fans to watch in October and November 2025 based on this strategy. Though the report mentions fan speculation that the season may premiere on November 27th, no exact dates for each episode drop were reported, nor were any episode counts for each part.
Though the report of Season 5 opting for a split release has not yet been confirmed by Netflix or the creators of Stranger Things, adopting a split release strategy would not be new for the series as Netflix opted for this strategy for Season 4. Stranger Things Season 4 dropped on the streaming platform in two parts. While Volume One consisted of the first seven episodes and was released on May 27, 2022, the second volume comprised the last two episodes and was released on July 1, 2022.
With Season 5 being planned as the conclusion to the highly successful series, fans are expecting it to be full of emotional moments. Stranger Things Season 5 consists of a massive star cast including, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and more.
