Following the departure of Ange Postecoglu, Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of a new head coach.

Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed Sean Dyche as their new head coach on a contract running until June 2027, marking the club’s third managerial change of the 2025–26 season.

The appointment comes after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou, who was relieved of his duties shortly after Forest’s 3–0 defeat to Chelsea over the weekend. Postecoglou’s brief 39-day tenure saw no wins in eight matches across all competitions, leaving the club in a precarious position near the bottom of the Premier League table.

Following a swift recruitment process, Forest’s board reportedly held discussions with several candidates, including Marco Silva and Roberto Mancini, before settling on Dyche. Known for his tactical discipline, defensive organisation, and strong leadership, Dyche brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having managed over 330 Premier League matches.

In an official statement, the club expressed confidence in their new manager’s ability to lead the team forward, stating: “Sean Dyche brings the perfect blend of character, tactical acumen, and proven achievement to guide the club through its next chapter.”

Dyche is expected to take charge of his first match on Thursday night against FC Porto in the Europa League, as Forest begin a new era under his leadership. The club’s hierarchy and supporters will hope his arrival provides the stability and direction needed to turn their season around.
