Nippon Sangoku Episode 10 Review: A Game Changing Suggestion Is Made
Spread the love

As Nippon Sangoku Episode 10 was released on Sunday, June 7, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video, we received one of the most shocking twists that none of us expected. Studio Kafka upheld their animation quality as always, delivering a very polished and narratively rich episode as we gradually progress towards the ending.

Narratively, it delivered a punchy and solid storyline – revolving around the fact that Misumi finally reached the Emperor’s palace to ask for reinforcement, but things don’t go as we have expected. Without any more delay, let’s do a quick recap and review of the latest Nippon Sangoku Episode 10.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers form Nippon Sangoku Episode 10 up ahead.

Misumi’s Entry Is More Dramatic Than Ever at the Emperor’s Palace

While Wajima continues planning out the war in Seii after a devastating loss in Nippon Sangoku Episode 9, Ryumon finds himself in the doctor’s chamber to ask about Kaku’s well-being. After learning that Kaku collapsed from a series of medicinal overdoses, Ryumon gestures toward their hopes now lying with Aoteru Misumi. Meanwhile, Misumi has just reached the Emperor’s Palace.

However, Misumi was stopped by a Yamato soldier serving under Denki Taira, who claimed that the Emperor had fallen asleep and would not meet him. The soldier arrested Misumi with swords at his throat, while asking for a bribe to relay the message. However, Misumi’s reasoning left even the soldier in sweat as Taira also arrived at the spot. While Taira collected Misumi and went inside the place, the soldier was beheaded under Denki’s orders.

Aoteru Misumi’s Words That Shock the Entire Court of Yamato

Once they entered the court, the Emperor was summoned to hear their petition. Denki seized the opportunity to frame Ryumon for the Seii invasion at the borderlands of Yamato. Misumi understood that it was never about allowing him to relay his request; it was all a plan made by Taira to replace Ryumon and take the reinforcements himself and claim the glory. Meanwhile, other officials and soldiers also supported Taira’s claim to the position.

While a female official tried to tell off Misumi as he tried to intercept, Misumi’s reasoning was enough to shut her down completely. After a slight show of resistance from Misumi, both Taira and the Emperor asked his opinion on who should replace Ryumon. This is where Misumi’s words changed the story. He casually answered that no one present could replace Ryumon and that the Emperor shouldn’t send the reinforcements to Fukui, contradicting the very reason why Misumi was there in the first place.

And if that’s not all, Aoteru Misumi suggested that the Emperor and the province of Yamato withdraw from the war, surrendering to Seii.

Nippon Sangoku Episode 10 Final Verdict

As far as cliffhangers go, the Nippon Sangoku Season 1 Episode 10 ending trumps the rest of the series’ endings so far. Not only does it create a sense of unrest among the characters at the court, but it also changes the narrative, particularly Aoteru Misumi’s. His suggestion not to send any troops was the perfect way to end the episode, in my opinion.

As far as the technical part of the episode’s production goes, it was a well-balanced episode with a heavy sway towards drama more than action. The lighting and backgrounds remain the same top-notch quality we are starting to love Studio Kafka for. We can get into the minute nitty-gritty all we want and critically break down the episode with expertise, but from a normal viewer’s point of view, it was a really good episode.
