Noah Cyrus has often described her sister Miley Cyrus as an unintentional yet powerful guide through the music industry’s wild ride. In a People interview, the younger Cyrus sibling reflected on growing up and observing her sister’s career trajectory, from her Hannah Montana origins to the bold Bangerz era:
I wasn’t even driving a car yet — I didn’t even drive when she was doing Bangerz, so that puts it into perspective
Starting her career at 15 and releasing the track, Make Me (Cry) (feat. Labrinth), Cyrus didn’t openly ask for guidance; she simply watched, absorbed, and learned. The tough spots Miley Cyrus faced early on served as silent case studies. Noah Cyrus added,
I think there were just a lot of lessons that just came with it because our age gap.
Noah Cyrus is carving out her own space in the industry with the release of her sophomore album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me, which dropped on July 11, 2025. It features big-name collaborations with Blake Shelton and Fleet Foxes and is also set to take the album on a fall tour.

Noah Cyrus recently addressed the constant headlines about supposed Cyrus family feuds, which have been amplified by her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus’ 2022 divorce and new relationships. In the same People interview, she stressed that the reality behind the speculation is far less dramatic, saying,
Everyone’s great and loves each other.
She explained that she keeps herself separate from any “drama” and focuses instead on music, which she sees as the family’s strongest bond. While she admitted that the rumors can be emotionally draining, she said,
Yeah, it emotionally is draining, but it doesn’t hurt us or touch us. It’s something that you really learn to keep separate and far away from yourself.
By her own admission, growing up in the spotlight taught her to tune out public noise and view the gossip as part of the territory, reminding people that, at the end of the day, her family is simply going through what everyone goes through.
There’s so many times, especially in my relationship with my siblings growing up, you fight and you say things but that’s your family, and they’re always going to be there for you.

Noah Cyrus has shed the stigma of silence to share her deeply personal journey through addiction and healing. She revealed that her Xanax struggle began in 2018 during a past relationship and spiraled until 2020, when she started to fall asleep mid-interview for an international channel that never aired. Cyrus shared with Rolling Stones in 2022,
“I was completely nodding off and falling asleep, and unable to keep my head up or keep my eyes open, because I was so far gone”
Looking back now, Cyrus says she feels “a huge disconnect” from the girl who was lost in that cycle, and music became the therapy that pulled her out. Her latest album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me, was crafted in the middle of that healing process and became a space where she could channel the chaos into something raw and real. She reflected (via People),
Whenever I look at that time in my life, I’m just really deeply saddened for myself, because only you really know what you’re feeling inside, and it’s a feeling that I don’t wish on anyone, to not want to be alive anymore.
Today, Noah Cyrus credits therapy, time off, and the support of her fiancé, Pinkus, for helping her rebuild. Moreover, she also revealed her desire to start a family with her partner (via People),
I want to be a mom. This is something that I want more than any other goal in my life
Noah Cyrus has made it clear that she’s no longer defined by family headlines or past struggles; she’s an artist in her own right, focused on growth, healing, and building the future she wants.
