San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is officially here, and it’s almost time for Marvel to make its big return.
For the iconic studio, it’ll be the first time it returns to San Diego Comic-Con’s infamous Hall H since 2024, when Avengers: Doomsday and the fact that Robert Downey Jr. was set to star in the movie were revealed. This time around, we’re even closer to Doomsday, and sure to get more surprises.
As it stands, it’s anyone’s guess as to what Marvel might have in store. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day out in theaters in just a week, and Doomsday set for a December release, Marvel may just have a ton of surprises in store for us. Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel starts at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET, and SuperHeroHype will have all the updates on what Marvel announces as it happens.

Black Panther 3 is here, and we have a new Black Panther actor
Marvel’s final surprise came in the form of revealing more of Ryan Coogler’s highly anticipated Black Panther 3. The title of the movie, simply Black Panther 3, was revealed, along with a release date of December 15, 2028. That wasn’t all, though.
Alongside the release date, Marvel also revealed that David Jonsson, of Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk fame, will play the role of T’Challa’s son, also named T’Challa, and will presumably be the newest actor to don the Black Panther suit following Chadwick Boseman’s death in 2020. Jonsson took to the stage, and said he couldn’t believe this was real, then thanked Marvel for allowing him to take on the role. That’s a wrap from Marvel’s Hall H show!

Doomsday footage hints at Reed and Doom’s past
Alongside the new poster for Doomsday, Marvel also showed off some unseen footage from the movie. According to those in attendance, the footage also heavily linked back to Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Doom’s history together.
The footage shown featured Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) talking about Doom, while Doom says that all of “these people” have lived stolen lives, and must now give them back. Reed grabs Victor and asks if he was the one who did this, while Thor goes in with his axe. Doom flicks away Thor’s axe, then begins raising up Sentinels from the ground.

Doomsday gets a new poster starring Doctor Doom
Marvel has revealed a brand new Doomsday poster, featuring the man himself at center stage. The new poster shows off our best look at Doctor Doom yet, with Downey Jr.’s character stalking menacingly toward the camera in his full armor. It’s an amazing look, and one that draws from some of the best looks Doom has ever had.

Deadpool crashes Marvel’s SDCC panel
While the Doomsday cast was on stage and Marvel was taking questions, someone wearing a grey Deadpool suit came up. While looking for a microphone, he revealed he had one already, and it was none other than Ryan Reynolds in the suit. Reynolds (as Deadpool) said he still wants to know why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine, and jokingly asked when Doomsday is set to start filming.

Haley Atwell will return to the MCU
It’s Avengers: Doomsday time, and we have a cast announcement! Hayley Atwell, who plays Peggy Carter in the MCU, will be back for the upcoming ensemble film. With much of the movie rumored to center around Chris Evans’ return as Captain America, it would make sense Atwell is involved in some way, and now we know for sure she is.
Atwell’s announcement came as the Doomsday cast joined Kevin Feige on stage, showcasing just how many stars are set to appear in the movie.

Jon Bernthal joins the stage
Jon Bernthal, aka Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, has surprised fans at Hall H. The actor arrived to show off some new footage of the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026.

Ryan Gosling is Ghost Rider!
It may have talked about just a bit early online, but Marvel Studios has surprised fans with the news that Ryan Gosling is joining the MCU. Gosling is playing the titular hero in a movie directed by Shawn Levy (who directed Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine), set for a 2028 release date.
Gosling was on stage for the announcement, and will now be the second person to play Ghost Rider in a live-action setting for Marvel, after Nicolas Cage infamously played him in a pair of movies in 2007 and 2011.

Kevin Feige has taken to the stage, and talks up Marvel’s history at the show. They always bring something big, but fans looking for more TV information won’t be pleased here. Feige said today’s panel is all about Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of movies.

Everyone’s favorite robot from The Fantastic Four: First Steps has made his way to Hall H. Herbie, otherwise known as H.E.R.B.I.E., wheeled on stage right as Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” played, and fans were ready for him. He didn’t do much but roll around, but he’s always a good sight to see.
