A powerful MCU superhero could be returning in Avengers: Doomsday. However, a new rumor suggests fans may not see the character in the same form featured in her Disney+ series.
Which MCU character is reportedly returning in Avengers: Doomsday?
There’s been a lot of back-and-forth regarding rumors about whether She-Hulk will appear in either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. According to insider James Mack (via MCU Film News), Tatiana Maslany‘s Jennifer Walters will indeed be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. However, she’ll only be appearing in her human form and won’t be transforming into She-Hulk.
It should be noted that this is only a rumor at this time, and it should be treated as such, as Marvel has not confirmed Maslany’s casting in the film.

The She-Hulk show was recently confirmed to be one of Marvel’s top performers on Disney+, despite facing criticism on social media. The ending of the show introduced audiences to Skaar, Hulk’s son. Following the show’s finale, Maslany criticized Disney due to the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. She has maintained that she would like to reprise the role of She-Hulk if the story is about “something about the world now.”
Avengers: Doomsday will unite the eponymous superhero group with the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Wakandans. While Marvel Studios has kept its plot details under wraps, it has been confirmed to deal with multiversal incursions. The film is rumored to feature multiple cameos, universe-destroying stakes, “hot scenes” between characters, and more surprises. Doctor Doom actor Robert Downey Jr. has said that the film contains the “antidote” to concerns that it could disappoint audiences following Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue to feature the Hulk in a major capacity in this summer’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film’s story will see Peter Parker seek Bruce Banner’s help in understanding his genetic mutations before eventually facing the Hulk.
