The lives you touch, will always be your best legacy in life….
“I went to Shoprite today to buy my favorite Tiger Nuts drinks and Pizza. While at the counter, I overheard a woman and her daughter who were putting on a school uniform whispering to themselves about the cost of what they picked.
They were visibly afraid that it would exceed their budget. The daughter was preparing to go back to school for her Junior Waec and she needed some provisions.
I saw the mother sneaking out a few things from their basket. She didn’t want her daughter to notice. Looking at her I knew she wished she could afford to buy her daughter all that stuff, but she doesn’t have the money.
I fell in love with the close connection and love that the mother and daughter share. Even though they don’t have plenty of money to spend as they want to, they share a very rare admirable bond.
I signaled to the mother to put back those things she sneaked out. She did and I paid for everything and sent 100k to them.
As I type this post, I could still see the tears of joy that fell from the woman’s eyes and the affectionate hug I got from the little girl.
I took them to ColdStone and bought Ice Cream for them and left them smiling and genuinely happy.
It’s the best money I have spent this month and it was one of those memories I will always remember with a broad smile on my face and fulfilling adrenaline rush of joy in my heart.
