The OG Avengers stars couldn’t hold back their excitement after Chris Evans‘s new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday dropped online. Jeremy Renner shared the trailer to his Instagram stories and X account. Retweeting Marvel’s trailer post on X, he wrote, “Very cool.”

It wasn’t just Renner who shared the trailer on his Instagram stories. Robert Downey Jr., who actively shares updates from Doomsday on his stories, shared Evans’s new trailer. He also recently shared a poster of his new movie on the social media platform.
Other stars who shared Evans’s trailer include Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, who played brothers Thor and Loki in the MCU. While Hemsworth was part of the OG Avengers, Hiddleston played the first formidable villain to the Avengers.

Anthony and Joe Russo also shared the trailer to their shared Instagram account. They wrote in the captions, “The character that changed our lives. The story that brought us all here together. It was always going to come back to this…”
Chris Evans’s New Trailer for Avengers: Doomsday
Avengers: Doomsday‘s teaser confirmed the return of Chris Evans as Captain America. In the trailer, Evans’s Steve Rogers is seen coming home to the same house he was last seen in with Peggy in Avengers: Endgame. It quickly turns emotional as Steve is shown to be holding a sleeping baby.
The scene then cuts black to the message, “Steve Rogers will return to Avengers: Doomsday,” followed by a countdown to the actual movie’s release date. It indicates that the movie will continue Steve’s story from where it left off in Endgame.
According to scooper My Time to Shine Hello, Steve Rogers’ decision to go back in time to live with Peggy may have angered Doctor Doom. The scooper wrote on X, “When Steve went back in time to go live with Peggy he created the Incursions so now Doom wants him dead.”
This Robert Downey Jr. vs Chris Evans theory has gained significant traction, with some speculating that it might end badly for the latter. Given the stakes of the film should be higher, it is a likely possibility that Downey Jr.’s Doom could emerge victorious in this fight.
Will Jeremy Renner Return to Avengers: Doomsday?

Even though Jeremy Renner was not announced as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, fans were hoping to see him in the movie. However, during his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, he shared that he was not appearing in either Doomsday or Secret Wars.
When asked about his appearance, he shared, “No, damn no.” He was also asked about his earlier revelation that he was offered half his salary to appear in a potential second season of Hawkeye. The host jokingly asked if Marvel would cast another actor as an alternate universe Hawkeye and pay them half. Renner responded, “If they want to do that, they can go ahead by all means.”
When RDJ posted the Doomsday poster on Instagram, Renner encouraged him in the comments, “I’m sure you will crush it!!!” It appears from the comment that Renner is not a part of the movie. Moreover, Renner was recently involved in a controversy that Marvel might want to avoid.
Renner’s filmmaking partner, Yi Zhou, called him out over his “unsolicited behavior” on Instagram. She shared, “Hollywood hides these men and bad behavior for the sake of money, but do we still need to be a silent victim in the post me 2 era?” She also accused him of threatening her. Renner vehemently denied these accusations (via PEOPLE).
