Netflix’s upcoming Turkish mini-series Museum of Innocence will premiere with nine episodes on February 13, 2026. All nine episodes will arrive on the same day. The show adapts Orhan Pamuk’s internationally acclaimed novel of the same name and tells the story of “love, happiness, obsession, and missed opportunities” in 1970s Istanbul (via Netflix).
The novel has reached millions of readers in over 60 languages, and the Istanbul museum attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The show is part of Netflix’s 2026 Turkish production slate, which features several series aimed at an international audience. The Museum of Innocence serves as the headliner of the big lineup (via Variety).
What Is The Museum Of Innocence About?
The Museum of Innocence was the first novel Pamuk published in 2008 after receiving the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature.
The show explores what love truly means. Is it “an obsession, an affliction, an accident that derails the course of our life; or a great and innocent happiness?”
It follows Kemal, the son of a wealthy Istanbul family, and Füsun, his poor and distant young relative. Kemal happily prepares for his wedding to a pretty girl named Sibel, but it all changes when he meets Füsun.
Their relationship starts in the 1970s, growing from curiosity and attraction into a deep and consuming obsession. Kemal’s love for Füsun drives him to collect her personal belongings: earrings, hair clips, and even discarded cigarette butts, and eventually to build a museum dedicated to her.
