How Long Is Life Is Strange: Reunion?

If you were planning to complete Life is Strange: Reunion in one sitting, you actually might be able to pull it off. Why? It’s because the game is going to take around 9-10 hours to complete one playthrough. That falls in line with its predecessor.

However, where the game feels different is the way you experience those hours. With a more continuous narrative, the game feels tighter and more immersive, making those 10 hours feel packed with meaningful choices, character moments, and emotional payoffs.

While a single playthrough of Life Is Strange: Reunion takes about 10 hours for players who take their time (making the choices), that’s only part of the experience. Like previous games in the series, it leans heavily into player choice, and those choices can lead to very different outcomes.

From small dialogue shifts to major story decisions, what you pick shapes how relationships develop and how the story ultimately ends. The narrative is ready to shift on the small click of a button. As a result, the game strongly encourages multiple playthroughs.

Multiple playthroughs are going to be the case, especially for the players who want to experience the consequences that every choice has to offer. There are different endings to uncover, variations in key scenes, and even outcomes influenced by decisions from earlier entries in the series.

For completionists, there’s even more to do: collectibles to find, optional interactions to explore, and specific challenges that need to be completed in a single run. All of this means that while the base story may take around 10 hours, fully experiencing everything can easily push your total playtime much higher.

No Episodes This Time, Here’s What Changed

One of the biggest changes that comes with Life Is Strange: Reunion is the complete removal of the episodic format. Yes, you heard that right… There are no chapters, no episode splits, and no staggered releases. (as confirmed by Square Enix)

Everything is available from the start as one complete experience (not even additonal story with the DLC via official Square Enix). This shift has a noticeable impact on how the game feels to play.

Instead of building toward episode endings, the story unfolds in a smooth, uninterrupted flow. Scenes transition naturally, and the pacing feels more consistent throughout (as now, there is no need to end on a high note at the end of the episodes).

Your decisions also carry forward without any sense of reset, making them feel more connected and meaningful over time. Rather than being broken into segments, the narrative plays out as a cohesive journey, which helps the emotional weight build steadily from beginning to end.

So while you can finish it in a single sitting, the real question is: will one playthrough ever feel like enough? Comment below to let us know about various decisions.
