Sinners was one of the biggest movies of 2025 and perhaps the most successful in the genre. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, the film followed twin brothers Elijah “Smoke” and Elias “Stack” Moore, played by Michael B. Jordan, as they tried to start a new life after leaving behind a twisted criminal past.
Hailee Steinfeld played Mary, Stack’s ex-girlfriend. The character ended up being one of the only survivors in the film. Mary and Stack eventually became an immortal vampire couple who adapted to a modern lifestyle and made peace with immortality.
Made on a budget of around $90 million, the film earned $367 million, making it a major success. It also performed well on streaming. There have been talks of a sequel, but no official confirmation yet.
Sinners is available for streaming on Max.
