A new book titled “Arbitration Law and Practice in Nigeria” authored by Hagler Okorie, an Associate Professor of Laws at the Faculty of Law, Abia State University, provides an extensive overview of arbitration as a mechanism for dispute resolution in the country.
The 599-page book covers elementary and general issues relating to arbitration law, its practice and procedure in Nigeria.
Published under the provisions of the new Arbitration and Mediation Act of 2023, the book delves into the meaning and nature of arbitration, its historical evolution and sources in Nigeria, as well as the typology and concept of customary arbitration.
