Warner Bros. unleashed a blood-soaked preview and a major franchise announcement at CinemaCon, giving Evil Dead fans two reasons to scream. The studio revealed the first terrifying footage from Evil Dead Burn while confirming a release window for Evil Dead Wrath, marking a historic first for the long-running horror series.
Evil Dead Burn reveals teaser trailer at CinemaCon
Warner Bros. unveiled the first trailer for Evil Dead Burn during its CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas. The early footage featured living dead creatures, chainsaws, severed fingers, and heavy bloodshed. The trailer teased the tagline, “Family is the root of all evil.”
Host Patton Oswalt noted the footage contained “unfinished and rough shots.” He added that the filmmakers included something “extra disturbing” in the preview. Sébastien Vaniček directs the film after helming the Cannes-premiering spider horror Infested.
The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, and Luciane Buchanan. Evil Dead Burn arrives in theaters on July 24, 2026. Warner Bros. distributes the film in North America. StudioCanal covers the UK, Metropolitan handles France, and Sony manages other international territories.
Evil Dead Wrath gets release date window
Sam Raimi confirmed at CinemaCon that Evil Dead Wrath will arrive in theaters in 2027.
The announcement marks the first time two Evil Dead films will release in consecutive years. Francis Galluppi writes and directs the film after his debut The Last Stop in Yuma County.
Raimi praised Galluppi’s filmmaking style in a statement to Deadline. He called Galluppi “a storyteller who knows when to keep us waiting in simmering tension.” Charlotte Hope, Jessica McNamee, Zach Gilford, and Josh Helman lead the cast. Ella Newton, Elizabeth Cullen, and Australian newcomer Ella Oliphant also star.
Raimi produces alongside Rob Tapert under Ghost House Pictures. Bruce Campbell and Lee Cronin serve as executive producers alongside Romel Adam and Jose Canas. Evil Dead Burn follows Evil Dead Rise, which grossed around $147 million worldwide in 2023.
