After a four-year wait, Euphoria is returning for its third season, which will feature a five-year time jump and see Sydney Sweeney back in the role of Cassie, who is now working as an OnlyFans model. The new trailer offers a glimpse at Cassie’s new hobby, in which she can be seen in a bunny outfit.
On the flip side, Jacob Elordi‘s Nate, who is still committed to Cassie, voices frustration over her new venture, saying, “I work all day, and my bride-to-be is spread-eagled on the internet.”
Previously reflecting on their bond, showrunner Sam Levinson confirmed that the pair will indeed get married, teasing that it will be an unforgettable night (via Variety).
With Season 3 expected to serve as the conclusion of the show, which propelled its main cast to mainstream recognition, the excitement surrounding the third season couldn’t be much higher.
Euphoria Season 3: Who Else Is Returning Alongside Sydney Sweeney?
In addition to Sweeney, other major returning figures include Zendaya’s Rue, Hunter Schafer’s Jules, Elordi’s Nate, Alexa Demie’s Maddy, Maude Apatow’s Lexi, Eric Dane’s Cal, Colman Domingo’s Ali, Chloe Cherry’s Faye, and Martha Kelly’s Laurie.
Zendaya’s Rue, who now resides in Mexico, remains in debt to Kelly’s Laurie, while Jules is pursuing a career in art school and is nervous about her future as a painter. As for Maddy, she works in a talent agency, and Lexi works as an assistant to Sharon Stone’s showrunner.
New casting additions for this season include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s ruthless drug kingpin, who’ll play a major part in Rue’s new life in Mexico. Other notable inclusions include Rosalía, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Natasha Lyonne, Marshawn Lynch, and Trisha Paytas. Among all the major characters in the show, Barbie Ferreira’s Kat and Storm Reid’s Gia, who is the sister of Rue, won’t be reprising their roles in season 3.
Considering how hyped everyone is for this, especially given its immense star power, it’ll be interesting to see how Levinson handles these beloved yet flawed figures in the upcoming season.
