Award-winning singer and performer Davido has opened up on why he did not collaborate with any American artist on his fourth studio album ‘Timeless’ which was released on the 31st of March 2023.
The singer highlighted that he noticed that other artists like himself are feeling more comfortable with the afrobeats sound as time progresses also citing that the need to collaborate with an international act has also reduced.
Davido also highlighted that the success of Afrobeats can also be seen as ‘Timeless’ peaked at number one on the US iTunes chart becoming the first and only African album to achieve this feat.
