Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi, founder and CEO of Dapper Group, has completed the prestigious Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports programme at Harvard Business School in June,2026, adding another milestone to a career that has positioned him among the leading figures in Nigeria’s evolving music and entertainment industry.

The executive shared news of the achievement via his Instagram page, where he reflected on the experience of learning alongside some of the most influential personalities from across the worlds of entertainment, sports and media.

The programme brought together a diverse cohort of professionals and industry leaders, including acclaimed actor Jay Ellis, known for his roles in Insecure and Top Gun: Maverick; Real Madrid and French national team midfielder Eduardo Camavinga; South African football icon Siphiwe Tshabalala; former Chelsea and England defender Ryan Bertrand; former NBA champion Festus Ezeli; NFL stars Jeff Okudah and Kelvin Beachum; and Olympic gymnast Frederick Richard.

Participants also included senior executives from some of the world’s most influential music companies, including Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, creating a unique environment for collaboration, knowledge exchange and strategic discussions on the future of global entertainment.

Designed for leaders operating at the intersection of entertainment, media and sports, the Harvard Business School programme explores emerging industry trends, innovation, leadership, monetization strategies, audience engagement and the rapidly changing dynamics of the global cultural economy.
