Destination D23 is being held this weekend, and there’s no telling what could be revealed at the event.

Starting Saturday at 9:15 a.m. ET/6:15 a.m. PT, Destination D23’s Walt Disney Studios Showcase will begin. The 75-minute-long panel will give fans “an exclusive look at the movies fans love, and a glimpse into what to look forward to from Disney’s film studios.”

While Destination D23 typically isn’t as big an event as D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, formerly known as D23 Expo, there are still bound to be some reveals and surprises in store when it comes to upcoming Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars projects. There is, of course, no guarantee that any trailers or footage shown at the panel will make its way online; however, we’re keeping our fingers crossed. Here’s a look at what we’re hoping to see at Destination D23 this year.

D23 2025 Showcase Preview Predictions

Marvel

If there’s going to be anything shown or released from Marvel at Destination D23 this year, it will almost undoubtedly be for Marvel Zombies. The animated show comes out in less than a month, now, and the studio has yet to release a full-length trailer. It’s definitely time for the Marvel Zombies marketing campaign to begin; this one will probably happen.

There’s also a good chance that we could get our first full-length Wonder Man trailer, too. At least, they should be dropping a Wonder Man trailer at Destination D23. That show comes out in December, and we still know hardly anything about that project as of yet.

Then there are the bigger swings. It’s not impossible — maybe not likely, but still not impossible — that there’s some sort of Spider-Man 4/Spider-Man: Brand New Day or Avengers: Doomsday tease. Both movies are currently in production, meaning there could technically be enough footage shot to put a short teaser trailer together.

Or, rather than footage, there could be some sort of announcement regarding Black Panther 3, Jake Schreier’s X-Men movie, the long-awaited Blade flick, etc. Don’t be surprised if they reveal what the mystery MCU film dated for July 2027 finally gets a title.

Star Wars

A Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord trailer seems like the safe bet, here. If not the trailer, at very least a premiere date (we only know it’s coming out in 2026 as of now) or a featurette or something. That’s the next big Lucasfilm project on the horizon, so that’s probably what we’ll hear the most about at D23.

However, Destination D23 could also give us our first The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer as well. The movie has been in post-production for a while, now, and footage of the movie was shown at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan, in April 2025. Maybe they just show that footage again to the people attending D23. Or, maybe they’ll put it on the internet for us all to see.

Could we also get something for Star Wars: Starfighter, given that the Shawn Levy movie is now in production? Probably not a trailer or anything, but a short little featurette or something teasing the Ryan Gosling-led project, yeah, that could also be possible.

Disney

The easy predictions here are Zootopia 2 and Tron: Ares. Both of those movies come in before the end of the year, and Disney has been marketing them both pretty heavily already, so it’d make sense if that continues at Saturday’s event.

The bigger question at hand is whether or not they’ll bring any of their 20th Century Studios projects, like Predator: Badlands or Avatar: Fire and Ash, to D23. Avatar: Fire and Ash, specifically, is very plausible, as the first trailer for that movie came out just a few weeks ago — maybe they won’t release another entire new one, but it’ll likely have some sort of presence.

Lastly, there’s Pixar’s Hoppers, which arrives in March 2026. There’s one teaser out there already, but releasing a full trailer to start getting people excited about it — especially after Pixar’s last outing, Elio, bombed in theaters — makes sense.
