Written by All That star Christy Knowings, who played several characters throughout the show, passed away Tuesday night at a Los Angeles hospital after an asthma attack. The 46-year-old Nickelodeon star had been hospitalized since Friday, when the attack happened, and was placed on life support. It reportedly left her with brain damage.
According to TMZ, her family made the incredibly difficult decision to remove her from life support on Tuesday. The actress appeared on three seasons of the sketch comedy show, popularly appearing alongside Amanda Bynes as Jessica on the sketch Whateverrr!!!.
She also appeared alongside Rosie O’Donnell in Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy, And Now This. She also played roles three times in Sesame Street, where she appeared alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings. In 2020, Knowings released her song, To the World, which was a folk single.

Christy Knowings’ All That co-star and SNL star Kenan Thompson was one of the first celebrities to pay tribute to the actress. Taking to social media, he wrote that her death “hit hard,” adding that he “never could have imagined this day.” He shared, “She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!!”

Original cast member on the show, Kel Mitchell, shared that she was “truly one of a kind,” calling her “naturally funny, incredibly talented, and fearless when it came to comedy.” He praised her talent and all the different characters she brought to the show, and shared that he would be grateful for all those memories.

Another original cast member, Josh Server, shared that she was “a light in every room” and called her “an absolute scene stealer.”

Angelique Bates, who appeared on two seasons of the show, wrote a heartbreaking note on Facebook. She wrote that she lost her sister, and added, “We talked ALL the time for HOURS. We SUPPORTED each OTHER. She supported EVERYTHING I did.”
Other cast members like Alisa Reyes, Katrina Johnson, and Phil Moore also shared tributes on their Instagram pages. The official Sesame Street page on Instagram also shared a tribute, posting a video of the actress and her brother from one of their appearances.

In January 2026, the All That family was hit with the sad news that former cast member Kianna Underwood had died in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn. She died at the age of 33. According to the NYPD, she was hit by a black Ford Explorer when crossing an intersection in the Brownsville neighborhood (via TMZ). She was “subsequently struck by a black and gray sedan.” She was pronounced dead at the scene
Co-stars like Angelique Bates posted about the loss on Instagram, sharing deep pain for the loss. She wrote, “Y’all have no idea how much this one hurts… Sick to my stomach. So many people failed baby girl.” After her time on Nickelodeon, Underwood did not maintain a public-facing acting career.
