Ahead of an all-important fixture in the UEFA Champions League, Pep Guardiola has confirmed the players that have landed in Spain ahead of the semi-final match Real Madrid vs Man City scheduled for kick-off today, Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Pep, in his press conference, addressed the statement about his team being out for revenge after they were knocked out of the competition by Real Madrid in the 2021/2022 season.

He said:

“We are not here for revenge. What happened happened in the past.

The lesson we can learn is to learn a little bit what happened, get a good result and perform well tomorrow to give us the opportunity to reach the final when we play in Manchester.

This is completely different to last season.

It didn’t happen last season because we played Real Madrid and they know what to do. But the more we play against them the more we learn.

One year later we are here again. After what happened last season, it’s a good point for us.”
