Alright gamers, the wait is almost over as Battlefield 6 is just days away from release. However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Electronic Arts (EA) has already given us a look at the game’s post-launch roadmap, starting with Battlefield 6 Season 1 on October 28th.

This should last for about 3-4 months, rolling out fresh vehicles, weapons, and modes through three major updates: Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive. So, let’s take a look at what you can expect from Battlefield 6 after its release.

Rogue Ops – October 28th

Rogue Ops will be the first major update of Battlefield 6 Season 1, launching right alongside it. So, what can you expect? Well, there’s a new game mode, fresh vehicles, weapon attachments, and plenty of other things –

Strikepoint – This is Aagame mode that will put your squad against another in round-based battles. The goal is simple: capture an objective and survive, but remember, you only have one life per round.

Blackwell Fields – Get ready for an all-out warfare at Blackwell Fields, a recommissioned U.S Airbase that’s been designed for every type of combat. You’ll be able to use both aerial and ground vehicles for nonstop action.

APC Traverse Mark 2- Roll out with your friends in the APC Traverse Mark 2. This is an armored vehicle packed with weapons and support capabilities.

Mini Fix Sniper Rifle – Scout players will have a blast with the Mini Fix as it’s a bolt-action rifle that’s made for precision and aggressive plays.

SQR-300C Carbine – This is a hard-hitting carbine that can deal a lethal amount of damage. But its fire rate has been toned down to keep it balanced.

GGH-22 Sidearm – Need a quick solution for close-quarters combat? This fast-firing pistol should be your pick, but don’t expect massive damage.

Rail Cover and Low-Powered Variable Optic – These attachments have been built to support LMGs and various other rifles in Battlefield 6. Try experimenting with them once the update is released.

2. California Resistance – November 18th

The California Resistance update for Battlefield 6 rolls out on November 18th, marking the second stage of Season 1. If the first update completely blew your mind, wait until you see what EA is cooking up with California Resistance –

Sabotage – A brand-new game mode that’s going to be the ultimate battleground, as it features 8v8 matches. The attackers’ job here is to take down as many sites as they can with the help of weapons and their unique ideas. Defenders must do whatever it takes to stop the chaos.

Eastwood – The new map, Eastwood, in Battlefield 6 takes you to the suburbs of Southern California to fight off against other players. As you’ll move and fight, you’ll come across a gold course and tons of mansions. Although it’s been designed for all types of combat, the only aerial vehicle available on this map is the helicopter.

Battle Pickups – Gamers who’ve played the franchise for years will recognise the Battle Pickups features instantly. Here, you’ll see deadly and high-tech weapons spawning on the map. Even one of these can give you an edge, so coordinate with your squad and hunt them down.

DB-12 Shotgun – This is a pump-action shotgun that comes with double-barrels, which means twice the destruction and brutality in close-range fights.

M327 Trait – This sidearm can deliver an insane amount of damage with every shot. The downside? Well, its fire rate is slow. However, it can be a good option for fighting in close quarters.

Slim Handstop – This underbarrel attachment has been stated to give a good balance of stability and control, without messing up your weapon’s ergonomics.

3. Winter Offensive – December 9th

Wrapping up Battlefield 6 Season 1 is the Winter Offensive update, releasing on December 9th. If the name hasn’t given it away already, you can prepare for some frosty battles, new map changes, and plenty of different additions –

Ice Lock Empire State – Fan of the Empire State map in Battlefield 6? Get ready, because the Winter Offensive is bringing new changes. The streets will now be filled with snow and ice. Stay on high alert, and strike your enemies. Remember, this is a visual update that will go away once the season ends.

Ice Lock – Ice Lock is a limited-time event that…., well, remains a mystery. EA hasn’t really bothered explaining what it’s going to bring to the table, but it’s confirmed that it will use the Freeze mechanic. This is a gameplay modifier that will work in ‘specific experiences’

Ice Climbing Axe – This a melee weapon that’s designed for brutal take downs, which makes it one of the coldest tools of destruction out there. It’s the only melee addition this season, so enjoy it as much as you can.

Is this the end of the line for Battlefield 6 after launch? Of course, not! As Season 1 ends, we’re likely to see EA do a similar announcement for Season 2 and beyond. It’s a great way to keep the game active, players invested, and the action going.

As for the end date for Battlefield 6 Season 1, that’s another mystery. EA hasn’t uttered a word on the topic, and that’s likely going to be the case until the right end of the season. So, grind all you can, and don’t hold back.
