The first looks at Penguin and Two-Face in Absolute Batman have been revealed.
Absolute Batman is the best-selling DC Comics series that comes from writer Scott Snyder and artist Nick Dragotta. Set in a different universe from Prime Earth that has been created by Darkseid, the series reimagines Batman as a 24-year-old blue-collar civil engineer.
So far, Absolute Batman has featured a number of iconic DC villains that have been redesigned in horrifying ways. Absolute Bane, for example, is a behemoth unlike anything Bruce Wayne has ever seen before, while Absolute Joker is a terrifying, dragon-like creature.
What do Penguin and Two-Face look like in Absolute Batman?

Absolute Batman #21 goes on sale on June 10, 2026. The issue features variant covers by Dragotta, David Nakayama, Doug Mahnk, and Chris Brunner.
“Friends become enemies,” the solicitation reads. “Enemies become friends. Final forms are revealed, and Scarecrow’s reign of terror threatens to upend everything.”
Oswald Cobblepot and Harvey Dent have shown up in Absolute Batman already; however, they looked very different. In the Absolute Universe, Harvey and Oswald were both Bruce’s childhood friends. Both of them, however, were targeted by Bane. Oswald had nearly every bone in his body broken by Bane, some in multiple places, and was last seen lying in a hospital bed with horrifying injuries. The Absolute Batman #21 cover suggests that he’s recovered, at least to some degree, but now uses guns as crutches.
Bane’s treatment of Harvey was equally bad. As punishment for being both a lawman and an outlaw, Bane cracked his skull straight down the middle and then set half of his body on fire. Now, Harvey has donned a white-and-black suit and grown out his hair, giving him a very Sephiroth-like look.
