Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to break the record for most battles in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Much has already been written about the opening battle in Avengers: Doomsday between the X-Men and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, which will reportedly end with the destruction of the latter’s world. However, scooper MAJESTIC_ucm has now revealed that there will be three more major battles in the highly anticipated movie, with the kicker being that all of them will be taking place simultaneously.
Where will the three major Avengers: Doomsday battles take place?
In a recent post on X, MAJESTIC_ucm revealed, “Well, I’m finding out more about [Avengers: Doomsday]. From what I’ve heard, there are three major battles. First, there’s the battle on the X-Men world, where they send Sentinels to attack; these Sentinels are being manipulated by magic. Then there’s a fight in New York, where we’ll see many heroes like Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Kate Bishop, Hulk, and others fighting against invaders from other worlds. Finally, there will be the battle in Latveria. These battles will happen simultaneously.”

It’s worth noting that scoopers are never entirely accurate, so fans should take this information with a grain of salt. However, if true, it means that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will indeed be part of Avengers: Doomsday. While they have long been expected to appear in the movie, their respective involvement had not yet been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
The battle in Latveria will likely be between Doctor Doom and the Avengers, New Avengers, and Fantastic Four. The Sentinels being manipulated by magic suggests that the Scarlet Witch and/or Doctor Strange could be behind the X-Men’s battle, as both have been reported to be working for Doom in the movie.
Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay for Doomsday, with Joe and Anthony Russo returning as directors. Robert Downey Jr. leads a large returning ensemble for Doomsday as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
