Insiders have indicated that the series could continue further with fifth season. While the upcoming season of Jack Reacher is yet to premiere, the recent update regarding a potential Season 5 has sparked significant anticipation among fans.
Reacher Season 5 rumored to be in works
A new report suggests that the fan-favorite action crime series may already be preparing for its next chapter, with a fifth season reportedly in early development.
Industry insider Jeff Sneider shared on X (formerly Twitter) that while no official renewal has been announced, work behind the scenes is said to be underway. He wrote, “Cool news: No official renewal yet, but Season 5 of Reacher is in the works at Amazon. Season 4 is expected to debut later this year.” However, his claim has yet to be confirmed by the streaming platform.

The reported development comes as the series moves closer to the release of its fourth season. Lead actor Alan Ritchson recently confirmed that post-production on the upcoming installment has been completed. He shared on Instagram, “Happy to be back in the booth after such a crazy week! That’s a wrap for me on post-production — #Reacher Season 4. This is, without a doubt the most gripping season yet. I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders… as it were.”
Earlier this year, the Playdate star also indicated that the new season of Reacher is expected to arrive in 2026. In an interview with Collider, he said, “Well, we finished shooting Season 4 of Reacher. It’s by far the best season we’ve had yet, so it’s coming. It’ll be out this year.”
Season 4 will adapt Gone Tomorrow, part of Lee Child’s long-running book series. The upcoming installment will feature Ritchson reprising his role as Jack Reacher, alongside a number of new additions to the cast. They include Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, ANGEZ MO as Lila Hoth, and Anggun as Amisha Hoth among others.
