The General Overseer of Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has dedicated a multi-million naira RCCG church building aka Jesus House in Abuja.
Adeboye while dedicating the church on Saturday, called on Nigerians that want peace and joy to seek refuge in the church, because the church is a house of peace and joy.
According to General Overseer, the church is also a place of lifting and breakthrough, and any Nigerian that desires to have a breakthrough in life should always connect to the house of God.
Also, the senior pastor of RCCG, Jesus House, Gen. Pat Akem-Vingir (RTD.), said that they decided to build the multimillion edifice based on the instruction of God through the General Overseer of RCCG.
Speaking on the contribution of the church to national development, he said the church has been very effective and will continue to be. “Some people laugh at the church and say that the church is doing nothing, if the church is not doing anything, you will not meet me here.
“I would have been a tired old man drinking beer and just for the fact that I am still gainfully engaged here, means there is a reality of it and that God is real, and that the church is truly active and working.
“The Lord said, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And He is building the church, whether the devil likes it or not. He is building and if you remove the church from Nigeria, Nigeria will collapse,” he said.
The senior pastor also used the opportunity to pray for Nigeria to prosper. “Nigeria will enjoy the prosperity that has been dealt with by God from heaven, harness her potential in the young people.
“70 percent of the country is youthful. You can not allow that kind of generation to be wasted. So we are praying that the policies will be in place to make sure that we have the talents that are embedded within the youth of Nigeria.
“Because they are doing great things around the world and if they get a chance that will transform this nation. And if we were to ask now, say the old measure, just give away and let the young guys do the job,” he said
