As Avengers: Doomsday approaches, Marvel has unveiled new Incursions one-shots revealing untold battles from the multiverse’s final days. The brand-new series of five one-shots bridges the gap toward Avengers: Secret Wars, exploring what happened when realities collided.
The five-part Secret Wars Incursions project will kick off this November, starting with X-Men: Incursions #1. Marvel announced the series earlier today, describing it as a return to the chaotic period before Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s Secret Wars 2015, which the upcoming films are inspired by. Each one-shot series explores alternate timelines and fan-favorite universes colliding in battles where only one reality survives.
Marvel has also released covers for X-Men: Incursions #1. The artwork includes pieces by Gleb Melnikov and Secret Wars artist Esad Ribić, along with a promotional cover by Bryan Hitch.
What else do we know about the new Avengers: Secret Wars Incursions project?
Written by Alex Paknadel with art by Jim Towe, X-Men: Incursions #1 will be available on November 18, 2026. The debut issue will bring the House of M and Days of Future Past realities together for a deadly Incursion. In an intense eight-hour countdown, Kate Pryde will be in a difficult position, making a devastating choice about which universe lives.
The Incursions project continues with four additional one-shots released through early 2027. Led by Christos Gage, Spider-Man: Incursions #1 will arrive in December. Fantastic Four: Incursions #1 will also debut in the same month, by Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan, and Paco Medina.
X-Men ’92: Incursions #1 by Chris Yost, Craig Kyle, and more will arrive in January 2027, followed by Avengers: Incursions #1 by Al Ewing and Fran Mariscal Mancilla in the same month.
With Avengers: Doomsday bringing the MCU Phase Six near to close, the new comic series gives fans another shot at the Incursions that set the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Marvel plans to release Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027, with production kicking off later this year.
