Marvel fans have one more reason to be excited about before Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters. Marvel Rivals has revealed a new Spider-Man costume based on the latest movie.
The trailer shows Spider-Man wearing the movie-inspired suit as he swings through the city and fights enemies. It gives a closer look at the suit’s web design, eye lenses, MVP animation, emote, and other in-game features. Players can buy the costume in Marvel Rivals starting July 30 at 7 p.m. PT, one day before the Brand New Day’s release.

Announcing the skin on X, the official Marvel Rivals account wrote, “Persevere through the solitude and rule yourself! ‘What is happening to me?’ Inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026). Give them a reason to remember your name with Spider-Man’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day costume. Available: July 30 at 7 p.m. PT! The battlefield forgets no one.”

Fans had mixed reactions to the new look. User @Synchron4ki commented, “THANK YOU SO MUCH! BEST SKIN IN THE GAME.”
Another user, @Manuel5Smith, wrote, “Devs, you cannot be doing this. This is a skin that has a specific color palate design and you guys really ruining the look. It’s not even replicating the movie. I was hoping you guys added a web change sound effect like No Way Home, but you guys are not putting enough effort.”
Meanwhile, @SimonSlove63359 said, “You genuinely can’t give us the classic suit without some small ass thing that fucks it up. Like wtf are the dark blue parts or when they made the previous suit pixelated.”
Developed by NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play, team-based PvP shooter featuring Marvel heroes and villains. The new costume is another collaboration between the game and Marvel Studios.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally hits theaters this week
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to open in theaters on Friday, July 31. This latest chapter in the Spider-Man series sees Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker, almost five years after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Directed by Destin Cretton, the film follows the web-slinger as he battles to protect New York City from the chaos that ensues when Doctor Strange’s magic erases the world’s memories of Spider-Man. Apart from Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Sadie Sink, the cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.
Early reactions to the latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise have been positive, with many hailing Holland’s performance and Cretton’s direction. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is off to a strong start with a current rating of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
