Jason Momoa just named the two DC heroes Lobo wants to fight next, and one of them might surprise you. The Supergirl star revealed his dream matchups for the bounty hunter during a recent press tour interview.
Jason Momoa wants Lobo to beat Batman in a dark alley after Superman fight
Jason Momoa revealed which DC characters Lobo should fight next during a Comicbook.com interview promoting the upcoming Supergirl film. The actor expressed a clear interest in taking on both Superman and Batman within the DCU. Momoa stated he wants to “have a little tussle with Superman” before turning his attention to the Dark Knight.
Momoa described a specific scenario for a potential Batman encounter. He said he would not mind “giving Batman a sasa” and imagined meeting him “in a dark alleyway.” The actor playfully added he would tell Batman, “All right, billionaire. Let’s go.” These comments suggest Momoa envisions Lobo as a character who challenges the biggest names in the DCU.
The actor also shared what drew him to the role of Lobo in the first place. Momoa said he loves “every aspect of him” and enjoys the character’s raw freedom. He explained that Lobo has “an unapologetic, absolute wild raw freedom” that actors rarely experience. Momoa added that Lobo “doesn’t have to hold back in anything that he does.”
Momoa also discussed Lobo’s potential future in the DCU beyond Supergirl. He confirmed that DC Studios does “have some plans” for the character going forward. The actor compared Lobo’s trajectory to his previous role as Aquaman in the DCEU. He suggested a gradual buildup, noting it “would be amazing to do our own solo” film eventually. Momoa emphasized that a solo Lobo film should carry an R-rating.
However, the actor acknowledged that audience reception will determine Lobo’s future. He stressed the need to “build the fan base” before launching a standalone project. Momoa noted that studios “can’t just drop that in there and expect everybody to come in.”
The character will first appear in Supergirl, which Warner Bros. Pictures will release on June 26, 2026.
