Entrances are a piece of art in the world of anime – a way of introducing a character in the narrative that’s both appealing and works with the storybuilding. However, some anime titles have pushed a simple entrance to a more “legendary” level, with drastic impacts – character entrances that change the game completely.

Without beating around the bush too much, let’s jump straight right into it. Here are some anime entrances that became legendary, ranked by impact, dramatic impact, and significance.

10. Giyu’s Last Moment Entry to Save Tanjiro Against Rui in Demon Slayer

This was one of the coldest anime entrances that hit us out of the blue; in our opinion, it was one of the rare moments the Water Hashira flexed a little too hard in the Demon Slayer anime series. We were all convinced that Tanjiro defeated Rui after releasing the Hinokami Kagura, but that wasn’t the case.

As Rui had Tanjiro pinned down, flurries of water appeared on the screen as Giyu Tomioka arrived and took over the fight – unfazed and stoic as always. Not only did he defeat Rui easily, but he also gave us his own Eleventh Form of Water Breathing – one of the most spectacular visuals in the series.

9. Saitama Casually Shatters the Falling Meteor in One Punch Man

A large meteor suddenly starts crashing down on Earth, threatening to destroy the city. While the entire city is panicking and every hero like Genos is struggling, the bald hero from One Punch Man walks in. Saitama flies off and punches through the meteor, shattering it into pieces.

The meteor incident perfectly captures Saitama’s absurd nature – while the entire world panics, Saitama walks in casually to threatening and dangerous situations with a neutral expression that makes his powerscaling absurdity look even heightened. While everyone strives for a climax, Saitama makes everything more anti-climactic.

8. Yami Makes an Entrance to Fight Vetto in the Black Clover Anime

Vetto is one of the toughest and strongest villains the Black Bulls faced in the Black Clover anime, and after a joint effort, they finally let out a sigh of relief, thinking the villain had been defeated. However, seconds later, Vetto rises back up and challenges them – Yami couldn’t wait any longer on the sidelines and joined the fight.

Yami’s arrival completely changes the battle’s momentum – his confidence, intimidating presence, and immediate domination of the fight make this one of Black Clover‘s most satisfying rescue entrances.

7. Summoning Sukuna Backfires on Jogo in the Jujutsu Kaisen Anime

The Shibuya Incident Arc was already chaotic, but Jogo had the bright idea to force-feed Yuji ten Sukuna fingers, bringing the count up to 15 in total. Ryomen Sukuna awakens, and the entire Jujutsu Kaisen narrative falls into further chaos. After killing the twins immediately, he offers Jogo a deal to grant his wish if the Cursed Spirit were able to lay a finger on him.

Ultimately, Jogo was killed, as expected. The moment Sukuna was summoned, an instant air of dread and tension covered the narrative. The atmosphere changes immediately, and everyone understands that a monster far beyond the current conflict has entered the stage.

6. Toji Fushiguro Arrives and Kills Riko in Jujutsu Kaisen

From the Hidden Inventory Arc, the arrival of Toji Fushiguro changed everything in the story – while we expected a successful escort mission and a triumphant conclusion, Toji appears out of nowhere and instantly destroys those expectations. He absolutely decimates Satoru Gojo upstairs before going down to intercept Riko and Suguru.

As Riko was seen smiling with a glimmer of hope after all the Star Vessel Assimilation narrative, Toji killed her within seconds in front of Geto. This not only changes the entire lore but also showcases that Satoru and Geto were not always the “strongest” in Jujutsu Kaisen.

5. Pro Heroes Arrive to Save a Kidnapped Bakugo in My Hero Academia

This was one of the peak moments of the My Hero Academia anime series – the moment kept reminding us of several “Avengers Assemble” moments from Marvel. While Bakugo Katsuki is kidnapped by the League of Villains and Midoriya and the gang plan to rescue him under disguise, they arrive late to the party.

What makes it more impactful is how Japan’s top heroes crash into enemy territory and overwhelm the League of Villains – creating an incredible sense of hope and spectacle. Their actions also stood as a beacon of cooperation and protectiveness for the hero community.

4. Captain Yamamoto Enters the Battle in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

If we are on the subject of legendary entrances, we cannot exclude the former Captain Commander of the Gotei 13, Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, when he finally joined the Thousand-Year Blood War. Yamamoto’s joining the battle against Yhwach finally drew some hope for the Soul Reapers.

The moment he steps onto the battlefield, the entire war feels different – both allies and enemies recognize that the strongest Soul Reaper has finally joined the conflict. The sheer weight of his reputation elevates the scene tremendously.

3. Ichigo Kurosaki Lands in the Seireitei to Save Zaraki in Bleach

If you thought Yamamoto’s in the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War was legendary, Ichigo’s entry takes it to another level. Kenpachi Zaraki, one of the strongest Bleach characters, lay defeated by the Bambies when a massive spiritual pressure spread across the Seireitei. A flying Ichigo Kurosaki comes crashing down to save Zaraki and wipes out the Bambies in seconds.

While Zaraki is just an isolated incident, his arrival changes the flow of the battle completely; the Soul Reapers, who were barely hanging on against the Quincy, finally had a strong win-factor at their side. It is arguably Bleach‘s ultimate “the cavalry has arrived” moment.

2. Sung Jinwoo’s “Exchange” Arrival to Fight Beru in Solo Leveling

This was one of the most hyped anime entrances in modern-day anime. An entire class of S-Rank Hunters invades Jeju Island in Solo Leveling but is wiped out and defeated by the Ant King, Beru. But then comes the famous “Exchange” moment in the series, when Sung Jinwoo arrives at the battlefield. As you could have guessed, the battle ends in the total annihilation of Beru.

What made it so hyped was the perfect timing of the entrance – Chugong lets all the powerful hunters get defeated and fall into despair, as he presents Jinwoo as the embodiment of the new “strongest” in the powerscaling and their saviour.

1. Sage Naruto Arrives to Fight Pain and Protect Konoha in Shippuden

Naruto’s return to the Hidden Leaf Village in Naruto: Shippuden, or whatever remained of it, is still one of the most iconic and legendary anime entrances to this day. After Pain destroyed the entire village and everyone fell into despair, Naruto arrived at the perfect “hero-entry” moment in the series to fight Pain with his newly acquired Sage Mode.

Every element lands perfectly: the buildup, the visuals, the timing, the symbolism, and the emotional payoff. Naruto isn’t simply entering a battle – he’s finally becoming the hero Konoha has always needed.
