Last month, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo was part of a Q&A at Italy’s Ministry of Education and Merit, where he ended up spilling some details, possibly related to Venom’s MCU debut. Although he didn’t use the word Venom, he did claim, “I promise you 1000% that [Spider-Man] will be fighting an alien in the future.” Ruffalo is going to be seen in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While no official announcement has been made yet, some fans’ theories suggest that Venom may arrive in the MCU through the multiverse.
As for Avengers: Secret Wars, the movie is still a year away from its December 12, 2027, release date. It was originally announced during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Michael Waldron is writing the script, with additional writing by Stephen McFeely.
In 2024, the Russo Brothers were announced as the directing duo for Secret Wars. With that, they also made a return to the MCU following their last project, which was 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
