Created by Jack Thorne, the four-part series has earned a 95% score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer (as of May 6, 2026). What makes the acclaim the series is getting is the fact that the cast is populated by child actors, many of whom have made their debut with this show.

1. Winston Sawyers as Ralph (Age: 14)

Winston Sawyers, born April 24, 2012, portrays Ralph in the series. His screen debut was the Paramount+ thriller series The Crow Girl (2025–), where he played the role of Joe Kilburn. Lord of the Flies, where he plays the boys’ elected leader desperately trying to hold a crumbling society together, is easily his most prominent role to date. There is no information about what his future projects will be.

2. Lox Pratt as Jack (Age: 14)

Lox Pratt, 14, portrays the role of Jack, and this is his debut acting role. He won’t be off screens for long, though, for he is set to play Draco Malfoy in the HBO’s highly anticipated upcoming Harry Potter series’ cast. And honestly, we did get that Malfoy energy from his portrayal of Jack, too.

3. David McKenna as Piggy (age: 13)

David McKenna will play the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming film adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ fantasy book series. Titled The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, the Greta Gerwig‘s film will star the actor as Digory Kirke. That film will release on February 12, 2027, before making its global debut on April 2 of the same year, via Tudum.

Lord of the Flies was his screen debut as Piggy. He was around 11 during filming and is 13 at the time of the show’s release. His portrayal of the island’s most clear-eyed and tragically unheard voice has earned praise from critics.

9. Rafael de Belligny as Robert (Age: 13)

Rafael de Belligny is 13 and made his acting debut with Lord of the Flies. He will play the role of Matt Hollow in the upcoming horror movie, titled The Third Parent, due for release on January 22, 2027.

In Lord of the Flies, he plays Robert, one of Jack’s more willing followers, memorable for a scene that shows just how far the boys have already slipped. He earned the role after going through five recall auditions during the open casting process (per Colchester Gazette).
